That missed call and the holding call on Peterson were pretty brutal. Those led to 14 points. Oh well. The defense played well considering and it's nice to see Turner running like a beast again. We're really missing Douglas and Norwood right now, though. Roddy and Gonzo are pretty much our only weapons in the passing game.

Even though we lost I feel better about the rest of the year if Turner can get back to his old self. No way we shouldn't grab a wildcard spot.

true that high 5. turner is an excellent back. good thing reggie bush scores that touchdown though, it was the dagger that sunk the falcons. it was excruciatingly painful for the falcons to give that one up to reggie.

but anyways, good luck next time. peace out.

Any reason why Kokinos was shown the door midseason? I have heard of coaches being fired in the bye week but a GM? Subtle message at Mangini coz Kokinos was "his" guy? They also fired an FO guy last week right?

It was Mangini's director of something or other that got fired last weekend, and she too was a long-time friend and colleague. It's real ugly.

Oh well, I didn't expect us to win tonight anyway.

Michael Jenkins is TERRIBLE. We need to get another receiver.

I really hope Lofton doesn't miss any time.

I didn't see White on that play until about the 4th viewing. I think the official (incorrectly) thought the INT preceded the hit. It was close in real-time.

I am shocked that the Falcons use Lofton on kick and punt coverage. That's a major risk they don't need to take. It sounds like he's fine.

Meh, White got blown up, and he pushed off like 12 times on that one deep touchdown catch as well. You win some, you lose some.

Will Smith for player of the game.

LOL, you mean that TD where Bush could have moonwalked into the endzone? It was funny because even Bush couldn't celebrate that one. As painful as Reggie's 14 total yards were, that wasn't close to being the dagger. But you know that. :D

Greer was more at fault on that play because he had no idea where the ball was and just slowed down trying to block Roddy from making the catch. But he is no match for the great Roddy White.

That wasn't even close to being a pushoff by White?

wow high 5, a positive post about turner and the falcons. and POW, you turn negative about reggies touchdown. did the SHOW strike a nerve? those points were crucial in a tight ball game. wow, simply incredible.

next time peace out or better luck next time is mentioned, maybe it should be accorded to another falcon fan who is not a SORE LOSER!

good riddance.

I'm a sore loser, but you wouldn't know, because it's been forever since we lost :P

Matt Ryan is overrated, but Roddy is an animal.

Well, that's not to say he's not very good, but you'll see a highly overthrown ball, float down field, hang in the air, and Roddy White will go up, make the grab, get clobbered, hang on to the ball, and then the announcers are like "what a play, by... MATT RYAN!!"

I know they want to paint him as the future face of the league, but that's the future.... he's not an elite talent now, and he's not the best second year QB of all time... Steve Young loves him... haha.

I don't FEAR Matt Ryan just yet, once he makes my stomach turn when I have to play him twice a year, that's when he has stepped into the elite echelon of players.

He's a lot better than I thought he would be though, that's for sure.

More reason for you to love my wife Sal...
She watched the game with me and she was so ticked off at Gruden and Jaws for gushing over Brees and Ryan. My wife is kinda prudish when it comes to flippant sexual remarks, so when she said "I wonder if he'll spit or swallow" after Gruden goes crazy after Ryan makes a basic throw under no pressure, I was too stunned to laugh.

I thought the coverage of both QBs during the game was embarrassing. I thought ESPN canned Mike Patrick for that very reason :dontknow:

It's weird going from a QB that everyone hates to a QB everyone loves. I agree that the Ryan hype train is going a little too strong at this point, though. He makes 2-3 flat out (Please Use More Appropriate Word) throws a game that sometimes really come back to bite him. But that's to be expected for a 2nd year QB. There's no doubt in my mind that he's going to be great for a long time.

Kind of feel bad for Flacco. (not really) Ryan gets most of the attention even though Flacco has done a good job of keeping pace.

Hopefully he throws 5 Touchdowns against Washington so we can all feel better about him 8-)
