Re: Week 12 game thread
Saints eating up clock it seems like. I don't know, if I'm Payton, I'm not calling off the dogs, I'd keep going after the pats crappy secondary.

Re: Week 12 game thread
Missed FG for the saints. That's gonna bite them in the ass. Ow. It hurts to laugh.
Oh well, can't really be pissed off because it's not a conference game. We just got crapped on by the best offense since 07 pats. I knew it was gonna be a shootout, but not a blow out.

Kinda hard to win against quality opposition when you don't have their playbook freshly pressed and printed at the start of 2nd half huh?

you think teams don't know the majority of a playbook just from film study?

God I hope we get the Saints/Vikings in the NFC Championship Game. Seeing Favre come that close only to have him and his fellow men in manly purple get blown the **** out will be truly LULZ worthy.

I'm surprised you've lifted your head from KG's lap long enough to learn how the NFL works...

Lol, weak, you are the one that cant stop talkign about Boston in general, haha, it's so sad.
Take another KG shot, like it matters, maybe that will make you feel better about your own team's inadequacies or something? I dunno, haha.

If the Saints play like that in the playoffs nobody is going to touch them. That was just a dominate performance.

Re: Week 12 game thread
I think the Vikings would be able to be competitive with the Saints. The Patriots secondary and pass rush is very weak (except for Meriweather) and the Vikings pass rush is obviously one of the best in the league, and when Winfield is back to 100% their secondary will be very good once again. Plus their offense is probably 2nd or 3rd best in the league behind the Saints. The saints have struggled against teams with good running games (dolphins, falcons, panthers, rams) so i would assume they would have trouble against Adrian Peterson.

Re: Week 12 game thread
first of all, hopefully some of you are jumpin on the saints bandwagon. as mentioned earlier this season, the SHOW has got the chargers vs. saints. now ive mentioned the other team from the vikings division to do somethin, but it definitely looks like its going to be the vikings who could possibly challenge the saints.
there is a problem however.
that pass happy-go-lucky stuff doesnt work in crunch time. that is playoff time. when the game is a blowout, sure, lets pass all day every day. but when the score is 21-21. or 14-14. things get tight. and the games are decided by field position, field goals and time of posession.
saints are headed to the NFC championship. that is not in doubt. but to get to the superbowl and win it. i.e. the last 2 games. they need to work field position. field goals. and time of posession with a run game. they are sorely lacking in the kicking game. big weakness, believe it, when the chips are on the line, those are HUGE. but it doesnt really show in blowouts. the special teams need some help, reggie should be a gigantic boost when he returns. and time of posession, which undoubtedly teams will attempt to use against them in the playoffs.

We didn't have Sedrick Ellis or Scott Fujita for those games, and last time we played Peterson, we shut him down.
Having Ellis makes a massive difference in our run defense.
