At 4-1, the Falcons looked like a playoff team.
At 6-5, with Philadelphia in town, Atlanta's season is on the brink.
Matt Ryan will miss Sunday's game with turf toe and Michael Turner is also expected to be out. FoxSports writes that Ryan could miss the rest of the season because of his turf toe injury.
The Falcons would fall two games behind Philadelphia in the wild card race with a loss. The Saints visit Atlanta next week for a game in which Ryan will be an extreme long shot to play.
Unless Chris Redman can pull out a win over the next two weeks, the Falcons will be 6-7 and have little reason to bring Ryan back from an injury.
Atlanta's banged up defense didn't look like a playoff unit even when Ryan was healthy.
Ryan's injury could ensure one of the oddest records in sports stays intact: The Falcons have yet to record back-to-back winning seasons in franchise history.

That's interesting because on Friday on Sirius NFL Radio they had some Giants reporter on and he said Eli's toe injury was "much more severe" than Ryan's. And Eli took every snap in practice all week.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Isn't their backup Rex Grossman?
Uh Oh
EDIT: Rex Grossman is actually the backup to Matt Schaub
