He is in...for sure.

No way Alan Faneca is a HOF player. He is not better than Russ Grimm or half the Hogs who are not in the hall who deserve to be.

I hope so. If he doesn't get in, I don't see Andre Johnson standing a chance.

No way is big ben more deserving than brees at this point. If you had to rank their best seasons collectively 1-5 Brees has the top 4 spots at least.

And I sure missed some lineman on my list.

I think TO is debatable. Thing is, when you're a guy who isn't really associated with any great team success, and who every single team he's ever been on has ended being glad he's gone, what lasting impact did you really have?

Faneca's a 6-time all-pro 1st team guy. I legitimately don't know the answer to this: Is there any 6-time all-pro 1st team guy who hasn't made the Hall?

He did make his teams better tho. 8 years with double digit td's, nearly 1,000 recpetions in his career, nearly 15,000 yards. His numbers say he's a HOFer IMO.

His individual numbers are certainly in the sphrere of HOF worthy. I can't really object if anyone thinks he belongs in the Hall.

I guess what I'd ask is this: Would you have voted him into the Hall just based on his 49er career?

Because since then:

-He went to title contender Philly, and never won a playoff game with them despite the fact that they won playoff games not only the year before he got there and the year after he left, but also while he was there. When Philly decided in less than 2 years that he was more trouble than he was worth, they could legitimately point to him not adding much impact.

-He went to Dallas and never won a playoff game despite the fact that they were a winning team the year before he got there and a winning team the year after he left. So again, what did he really add to Dallas?

-And of course, Buffalo...enough said.

His improvement of teams since then is not significant. Not enough to make me forget about how quickly all of those teams decided he was of negative value very quickly. In that entire period, I can't say he's really added to his legacy, and while his time in Frisco was a clear positive, at the time it ended if felt like he had to do more to be Hall worthy.

Heres a question albeit, extremely premature, but which rookies, do you think, stand the best chance of having HOF careers?(based on talent, stats, and play style and how that would affect longevity of playing career)

Brian Cushing. I'm only a little bit biased.

6 time probowler, 4 time all pro, 2005 Defensive Player of the Year, and 2000 Defensive Rookie of the Year is pretty convincing.

D. Sharper? I'm biased against him, but he never screamed hall-of-famer. Though I think Woodson is so I would reconsider. A SB pick and win would secure either one of those guys.

Yeah, I'd probably say Darren Sharper isn't a lock after seeing what safeties are hall of famers. For some reason I thought LeRoy Butler recently got added. He has a pretty good resume though if he can 2 more pro bowls or a championship.
