Tennessee was alrady in rebuilding mode but now it is in complete disarray. I wonder who they can bring in to salvage Vollenteer Football.

What sucks for them is they nearly hired Brian Kelly when they hired Kiffin. I wonder if they'll chase after one of the Bowden kids. I heard they tried to get Frank Beamer from VT and he told them off because they've been afraid to play him forever

Lane kiffin did the admirable thing by holding his tennessee press conference to explain everything, and leave on good terms.

This guy is a complete joke and Tennessee is very very lucky to get rid of this scum bag. Hopefully the NCAA comes down hard on USC and this guy can suffer a bit.

well, not really. blame the NCAA. coaches can move freely without punishment. but if players move, they have to sitout and have penalties attached to them.

UT had what was recognized as "supposed to be" a top 5 recruiting class coming in. if it wasnt for a field goal, wouldve defeated the national champions alabama. he had a great recruiting class the previous year. the quarterback crompton was terrible, but developed into a serviceable quality QB this past year. so he did a good job for the 1year he served there.

sure, its bad that it happened for UT fans. but a move to sunny southern california, heading a powerhouse program on the west coast . . . and . . . no threat of punishment if he chose to make that move . . . =nobrainer.

No I have no problem with the coach moving on. It's a good thing for the Vols. He had what 5 or 6 issues with the Vols in one season. He's not worth the problems.
