In his defense, Suisham has always sucked.

Re: Playoffs: Divisional Games
Jets must be one of the luckiest teams out there. Its not there fault by any means dont get me wrong. They have a good D (Not great) and decent O.
But playing two teams that had nothing to play for to make the playoffs (with one team resting the 1st team) and both opponents kickers influence the game in a negative way.
Can you imagine if Colts lose to the Jets, bearing in mind they were pretty much responsible for them being there.!

I agree on some points, the Jets were a little lucky at the end of the season but other teams also didn't take care of their business. But I disagree that the kicking game has anything to do with luck. It is part of a football team and when Kaeding chokes, then this has nothing to do with luck. Feely made all his kicks in both games. The Jets handled the pressure better than both their opponents. I agree that their defense is very very good but not great yet. They are maybe one of two players away from that. Yet yesterday, they played GREAT. Had Rivers guessing, got pressure, covered incredible and Revis is a god btw.
Bring on Indy, definitely a nice storyline...
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies...

Re: Playoffs: Divisional Games
When I say lucky. I don't mean it in such a negative way that people assume ( i had this conversation with my younger brother who is a jets fan. )
Luck in a sense where the probability of two say top 10 rated kickers go 0 for in the games is quite low. and If im correct at least 4 of the kicks (two each) they had a high probability kicking.
I know it is not as simple as that and this is where psychology plays a role..(and I agree since part of my background is psychology).
Here is something to ask you guys..Ofcourse if it is 4th and 10 its a different story..but say it was 4th and short and you have a chance for a 40ish yard field goal..and you were the coach, would you send in your kicker knowing that he already missed in the game.
I just think after a kicker misses in a game his mind can just fcuk with him.

The way kickers are this year, I'm not sure I'd even have one on the roster

If you have a good offense that can move the ball..
Id probably agree.!
