I still feel he is lesser then the greatest of all time. Yes, he is one of the best of this time but since the NFL started? Don't think so.

Who's better? Honestly, the only person I'd take over him is Joe Montana.

As of right now it is Elway, may be a different story by the time Manning retires but it is impossible to say right now.

How? Manning is a lock to break any record Elway has besides Super Bowls, and even then, Manning probably will at least tie him. Elway didn't win Super Bowls until he was like 37. In that regard, Manning is way ahead of the curve.

He has also already lost more playoff games than Elway did while playing in less playoff games. Besides, nothing is guaranteed in the NFL, he could get injured tomorrow by falling down a flight of stairs and his career could be over.

Yeah, if you had your way, by being a "tough guy", he probably would be.

As for the playoffs, he's also been blessed with a terrible defense the majority of his career. Elway could never say that.

He has ONLY been blessed with some of the best offensive talent around.

Can Elway not say the same thing with Rod Smith, Ed McCaffery, Shannon Sharpe, and Terrell Davis? It's not like he had Arnaz Battle as his best WR.

Were they all around since 1982-83?
