He'll be cut in 2 years and wind up back with the Panthers. LOL

I'm real interested to see how he reacts to Rod Marinelli as his coach/coordinator.

One reason why I really like this for CHI: look at the NFC North left tackles. Jeff Backus, Bryant McKinnie, and TBD in GB; not exactly murderer's row when Jeff Backus is the best LT in the division by a pretty wide margin...

Still doesn't address their woeful offense.

So, because Peppers doesn't play offense, the Bears shouldn't have signed him?

Cutler needs weapons on offense, they would have been much better off signing an offensive threat like Brandon Marshall. I personally think they overpaid for Peppers too.

Brandon Marshall isn't a player the Bears had the luxury of going out and just signing (as was the case with every restricted FA, for the most part). He was tendered and the Bears don't have picks to give back in return. Instead, they went out and grabbed what they needed from the UFA bunch.

addition of a BIG TIME, BIG NAME defensive lineman will stop other teams from controlling the line of scrimmage and running all day on them
