Wasn't Leinart the guy that would have been the consensus #1 the year that SF had #1 and took Alex Smith instead because Leinert chose to stay another year in college?
Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well-warmed, and well-fed.

LAKESHOW wrote:there are different styles of defense that coordinators use, for example the defensive back style or "type" of coverage. usually the db sits on top of the receiver and plays behind him, play from behind and allow the db to come up and make the play should the receiver catch the ball.

the style of defense that took down derek and will eventually take down max hall is the "trail" position. this has the db trailing behind the receiver, with the safeties on top. what happens is it forces the smaller quarterbacks to throw over the lineman and now throw over the db. shorter quarterbacks need lanes and usually jam the fastball to the receiver. but very difficult to do so with a small window, and the db in trail position.

this is what will happen with the shorter but quicker quarterbacks like anderson etc...

Leinart wasn't really given a chance, I don't want to hear that. At least ride him to start the year and let him prove himself.

Whatever, I trust Ken Whisenhunt more than anybody, and if he likes DA, I won't doubt his decision. I don't know how much our offense will change, if at all any with DA's ability to thrown downfield. Hopefully our line wakes up or it's going to be a long year.

And very slow. I remember his first game as a Brown against the Chiefs he got a 30 yard run and he said he never had a run that long in his entire career, high school included. Hes a classic pocket passing quarterback with a riffle arm, no accuracy, and little intelligence. He also is a poor leader and never took responsibility for playing bad.
