Re: Week 9
Palmer is terrible this season, and the O-line is pretty porous too.

I feel bad for TO, he may be diva but I actually wanted to see cincy have a solid season, guess that's already out of the question

Can't stand OchoStinko. I hate when recievers show up their QB's when they get butthurt.

I don't feel bad for anyone who doesn't give 100%. He has done a lot of good for the Bengals this year, but he could have done a whole lot more.
Also, I love Polamalu, but he just got absolutely crushed on the goal line.

Re: Week 9
Palmer is the same guy he was last year, maybe even better. The running game is just a lot worse and he's had to throw it more.

Huh? what else could he have done? everybody else thought he was done last year, but he is having one of the better seasons again.
When I am talking about Palmer, I was talking about pre-injury. there just has been such a big difference since the injury. Even his throws dont look as smooth.

Re: Week 9
He has been great on perfectly thrown balls, but he has little interest in going after balls that don't hit in the numbers. He could have made a play on 3 or 4 balls in the Miami game, but he just left Palmer out to dry. Including the game-losing INT. I have always been a TO fan despite his attitude, but I certainly don't feel sorry for him.

Carson Palmer's QB rating when behind by 10 or more points: 102.3
Carson Palmer's QB rating when the game is within 7 points: 51.8
He's quite literally twice as good when the game is out of reach. Great in garbage time, awful in the crunch. He's TMac!

But he was never like this before the injury was he?
It surely just cant be the knee anymore right?
Icness, What do you make of all the fines and hits now? I am now getting really annoyed with all the calls because it is getting to a stage where the referees are influencing the game more than they should.

I think the refs should be able to review the penalties in such situations like the NBA allows refs to watch the tapes of bench-clearing stuff and flagrant fouls. The game is already delayed anyways while the injured players are attended to, why not let the officials review if the hit was legal or not?
I agree that the refs are too quick to throw the flag now, like the hit on Austin Collie or the laughable blow to Manning's head in the Colts/Eagles game. They are reffing scared and it is clearly impacting both their performance and the outcome of games. The Lions lost a potential FG attempt because of a ridiculous chop block call on Steve Peterman that had the Jets laughing on the sidelines. The Chiefs got a freebie TD because of an awful PI call on the Raiders. It's getting worse by the week.
