Top 5 DT in NFL

And other fans of other teams don't do the same thing with their players? Don't make it seem like Dallas fans are blind to the football world outside of Dallas.

So why didn't Raji make it?

Because he plays both end and tackle it makes it hard to place him into one or the other. Plus he's young and his emergence caught some (not me) by surprise. Kind of demonstrates the worthlessness of the Pro Bowl. He's not better than Dockett yet, probably plays more consistently though. Peko is a better run defender than both of 'em.

He is pretty good, but it also goes to show that a 3-4 team doesn't exactly need a big time anchor in the middle. I mean he is a perfect example, just like when the Jets lost Jenkins everyone thought we would be doomed and Pouha stepped in perfectly if not better.

But I thought Packer = automatic.

It's about exposure and opportunity. Put Raji in Cincy and Packer fans wouldn't think that much of him for those reasons, and also because he wouldn't put up the sack numbers he does in GB. Same deal with Charles Johnson in Carolina--he was better against the run and more consistently productive as a pass rusher than Julius Peppers last year, but because Peppers played on a very good team that was on TV all the time and he made some awesome highlight plays, most fans would laugh at anyone saying Johnson is even close to Peppers. Look at the talk we're having about Patrick Willis, more of the same--great players on lousy teams get overlooked but would be Gods on higher-profile teams. Put Willis on the Jets and nobody would even consider arguing that he isn't the best ILB in the league.

Peko and Raji aren't to that level, and really they don't play the same style or scheme, but I hope you get my point.

Edit--did Raji not go to the Pro Bowl because of the Pack being in the Super Bowl? Seems to me he belonged there.
