Dallas Cowboys Backup Quarterback

Post#1 » by JustAwesome » Sat Jan 28, 2012 10:49 pm

The Dallas Cowboys are looking for a new quarterback.

Veteran quarterback Jon Kitna has decided to hang up the cleats. The former World Bowl MVP has decided to become a high school head coach at his alma mater in Washington.

That leaves the Cowboys without a veteran to back up the injury prone and mistake prone Tony Romo.

Team owner Jerry Jones does not believe that Stephen McGee is quite ready for the role. He feels that the team would be better served with another veteran quarterback who can step in when needed.

Who do you think the Cowboys should acquire?

They should acquire David Carr.

Carr is going to be a free agent this summer, but I think the Giants might keep him around as a backup. I think it would be interesting to see McNabb in a Cowboys uniform.

Whichever of Shaun Hill or Drew Stanton the Lions decide not to keep.

I still wouldn't put it past Jerry Jones to do something dramatic and trade way up to get RG3.

I thought for sure you were going to go the Leinart angle.

After losing Schaub to injuries this year, I think the Texans are going to be putting a heavy emphasis on quarterback depth.
