Titans team doctors at the facility. Usually players don't get a physical unless talks have progressed to a serious state.

Peyton Manning just left the stadium.

Also...

Avgjoe, a reputable poster on Titans Central, said his contact with the Titans, said a deal has been agreed upon. The details will be ironed out by Tom Condon and Ruston Webster.

The poster said, that Mario Williams has agreed not to sign with anyone until the Manning deal has been done and announced. He is very interested in the Titans.*He also said that once Manning makes his announcement, Hutchison and Wells will sign with the Titans.

If that happens, wow.

Surprised the Chiefs didn't get their foot in the door. Have some pieces if healthy. Plus coaching staff knows the Patriots real well.

This is huge for the Titans. If a few guys follow him there they could be very dangerous.

It could get really ugly if he signs there, the colts fan base will likely turn on him. Most people don't care where he goes as long as it isnt in the division.

Titans’ owner Bud Adams offers Peyton Manning lifetime deal to stay in Tennessee
http://www.wkrn.com/story/17163857/tita ... -tennessee

@ClayTravisBGID: Bud Adams on Nashville's WSMV regarding Manning: "Things are moving along very well, I'd say."

Ian Rhodes ‏ @IanRhodesWSMV

I would classify the exchange between Manning and Munchak before getting on the plane as playful.

There was a Handshake, Munchak pats Peyton on the back & gives him a playful shove on the shoulder as if Peyton told a joke or razzed him

Read into it as you will. You can see it at 10pm on @WSMV.

John Clayton ‏ @ClaytonESPN

The Titans land former Vikings guard Steve Hutchinson. He was torn between going to Seattle or Tennessee

John Clayton ‏ @ClaytonESPN

With Steve Hutchinson going to Tennessee, you have to think the Titans may have a legitimate chance of getting Peyton Manning.

John Clayton ‏ @ClaytonESPN

The timing or Steve Hutchinson's decision to go to Tennessee makes you think that this has the blessing of Peyton Manning.

Things could be heating up.

From an o-line perspective the Titans seem like they should be the choice. The Titans have been one of the best pass blocking teams over the last 5-6 season which is mainly due having the best book end tackles in the league. However, they are now adding to the interior which has declined since the loss of Mawae/regression of Jake Scott. The Titans have signed guard Steve Hutchinson and have interviewed centers Scott Wells and Chris Myers. If the Titans can improve their interior line especially in terms of run blocking that will help all the offensive weapons; CJ, Britt, Washington, Cook and Williams. As a group I think that offense has a lot to offer Manning in comparison to the other teams.

The latest report is Peyton will be throwing for Titans and Broncos this afternoon. It appears those are the only 2 candidates left.

The signing of Hutchinson is being overblown. They're not just doing it because he's friends with Manning. They're doing it because he's a veteran that can still help upgrade the unit.

Uh oh...

Even before he worked out for the Denver Broncos on Friday, Peyton Manning threw passes for the San Francisco 49ers and underwent a physical exam earlier this week, according to league sources.

The Arizona Cardinals have been informed they would be wise to proceed without Manning as a candidate to join the team, leaving three teams as finalists to sign him, also including the Tennessee Titans.

Talks with the Miami Dolphins were described as "positive," but he informed them midweek they were not going to be among his finalists, sources said.

Now San Francisco is the sleeper team few were expecting.

If they somehow get Peyton, the Niners would be the favorites for next season, IMHO.

If he winds up in SF that's an awful lot of ego on that side of the ball. Harbaugh, Peyton, Moss, Gore, Crabtree...reminds of the Lakers when they brought in Malone and Payton w/ Shaq and Kobe.

This isn't basketball. Peyton Job is to throw to moss. Crabtree sucks. Gore runs. I laugh at people saying Harbaugh will put clamps on Manning. Didn't they know that Andrew Luck was pretty much calling his own plays in Stanford. Andrew Luck was pretty much doing a Peyton Manning interpretation.

If the 49ers get Manning to go with the best defense in the league. They have the most complete team I've seen since the 90s Cowboys. They won't have 1 real weakness on the team. I could see them going to 3 Superbowls if Manning has 4 good years left in him.
