Carolina fires Marty Hurney as GM

Post#1 » by ohara » Mon Oct 22, 2012 2:18 pm

It is about time. So many Panther fans have been asking for his head on a platter for a few years now. Questionable draft picks and trading away future 1st round picks for picks which do not pan out. Ron Rivera better hope this team starts to get the ship righted real soon, or he will be the next to go.

Yeah he is pretty terrible. I never understood why he shelled out so much $ to resign so many players from that 2010 team that won like two games.

Scam Newton has regressed big time as well. Carolina needs to fire Rivera and bring in an offensive oriented coach. A big part of RG3's success is because the Shanahans are excellent offensive coaches who have built a great system around him.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

I'm shocked that he's lasted this long. So many terrible moves.

He is very tight with the Richardson family. JR gave him lots more room than any other Owner would have, save those fine folks in San Diego. Still have trouble believing they have not cleaned house in Charger land. Really takes brains to fire a coach who goes 14 - 2 and hire and retain coaches and mgmnt who are clearly not as fundamentally sound in football knowledge as the man they let go.

Oh my bad I meant to post a comment on this but put it in the generic thread. I think Cam was just doing what I advised him to do, smart man!... ;)

That's unbelievable timing cause I just made a comment on a Cam Newton story on another site directed towards Cam that if he's confused as to why they are losing then Step 1 is to fire the GM. Wow he moved fast, it didn't even take 12 hours for him to get the message and make it happen. I am sooo powerful! :)

Two pro bowl running backs on the roster, but the Panthers make it all about Cam. The offensive play calling is absolute ****.
