Maybe.... but i credit Andy Reid with the Chief's success more than Alex Smith.

Andy Reid has been known as a quarterback coach. Reid's failure in Phily comes from the fact that he is a horrible defensive coach and not able to bring in a good defensive coordinator.

I think Reid can make the 20th best QB look like the 10th best QB.

He is not a top 10 QB, he is a game manager.

Lol, nah man I'm for real. I feel if the roles has been reversed, Smith would have a better career than Rodgers. Smith went though five OC's in five years, while Rodgers sit back behind Favre and was on a better team.

One day people will look past individual record in a **** team game. What a glorious day that will be.

Alex Smith is the prototype game manager. You look up game manager in the dictionary, you'll see a picture of Alex Smith. He's perfect for the Chiefs this year: rely on the run and let your dominant D win games. But that kind of team NEVER wins Super Bowls(unless your D is a best of all time candidate like the 85 Bears or 00 Ravens).

Also Andy Reid is a hell of a football coach. Dude always gets the most out of his QBs. I'm glad he's not in the NFC East anymore.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Jim harbaugh got him in shape before Reid, Reid just followed the suit kept him as a mistake free, minimal risk qb.

I think not having a big target going to haunt Smith come playoffs, many point saints game as a proof that he can win in playoffs but while he played good, that game wouldn't have been won if Vernon didn't have a helluva game

I agree with 90% of this, but I do think it's possible to win a SB with Alex Smith at the helm. I don't think the Chiefs are there yet though, they need a reliable short/intermediate range safety valve target for Smith and perhaps some upgrades along the offensive line.
