At Jitpal's request

Post#1 » by 34Celtic » Tue Jun 12, 2007 2:15 am

Its a battle of the sinkerballers tomorrow night. Brandon Webb v.s. Chien Ming Wang. These guys were 2 of the best pitchers in baseball last year and I expect about 47 ground ball outs. Well not 47 but you know what I mean...

I'm honored you named the thread after me but perhaps it would be wiser to rename to something a bit more pertinent to the game. -Jitpal

Yea this will be a true test for our lineup, web is a great sinkerballer. It will be hard to get things going against him. I think Wang can do just as good a job. Hopefully the hot hitting carries over.

Has anyone ever given him the nickname Spiderman? I know it belongs to Torri Hunter, but Webb...get it? OK I'm leaving...

I can just hear Sterling now, "OHHHHH and Brandon catches another fly in his Webb!!! The Spiderman strikes again!!!"

As for the game, Webb isn't exactly the guy you want to face in the middle of your first winning streak of the season. Atleast we skip the Unit.

Is there a reason that everyone on every Yankees message board spells his name Abreau instead of Abreu? Did I miss something? mahalo
