Where will Reggie Bush go?

Post#1 » by jackwindham » Thu Feb 26, 2015 12:58 am

As many of you already know, Reggie Bush was released by the Detroit Lions earlier today. He is now a free agent. Numbers weren't all that impressive last year, but there's bound to be a team out there that adds him to the roster.

Where do you think Bush will sign?

Don't know where he will wind up, but the Giants and Browns should both be interested
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

I wonder if Kelly can make him a useful player with the Eagles.

Below the radar bust? Son, stop drinkin the HATERade. Besides, what the heck does below the radar bust mean anyway? Are you one of those guys that goes on youtube and just dislikes a video just for the hell of it? Do the homework homeboy! He was drafted for 2 reasons. 1. Sell tickets. 2. Bring an NFL championship. Result? Mission accomplished. But get this, he did way more. REGGIE SAVED LIVES IN NEW ORLEANS AFTER KATRINA! After reggie left town? Result? Franchise in shambles.

2nd pick..was supposed to be the next "Barry Sanders"...too injure prone...only 2 seasons over 1000 yards?? (in 8 seasons?)...he didnt meet expectations ..it is plain and simple....experts don't go into that BIG BUST conversation with him (I guess when he retires)...One of the biggest bust in the last 10 years...
Great, he saved lives during Katrina, like many other people, he is great person then (?) but he has certainly not been a great NFL player..

Ok. Just some education here. You dont draft with the goal of acquiring barry sanders or oj simpson. The goal and mission of each and every team is to build a CHAMPIONSHIP team. Reggie. Colston. Anybody. Is brought in to win that stated prize. The Lombardi trophy. Not to break yardage records. Was that goal and mission achieved? You know the answer.

Ash k, listen...the Show is not tryin to be right, correct, prove a point all of the time. Im very reasonable, and see your opinion as a general opinion that many have in regards to reggie bush' career. A bust? Doesnt have a career. But he does. And his career still has life to it, expanding past 10 years. Thats not a bust. He has accomplishments many around the league have been trying to attain. So its all good Mr. Ash K. Next year will still be another year where he proves once again, that his longevity is proof positive.

"Bush represented hope in 2006 for a city that was less than a year removed from Hurricane Katrina's destruction. With Bush, the Heisman Trophy-winning running back from USC, the city had a savior that couldn't be rivaled by any government official. Bush represented dawn in the city's darkest hour."

Oh, it gets better.

"Sean (Payton) and I have had conversations about this with him being in the room and that moment it was going to happen, it was like, Reggie Bush fell in may lap," Drew Brees said Wednesday. "Are you kidding me? So not only the type of player that he was and all of the things he could do on the field, but I think what this city needed was somebody like that to be drafted here ... the excitement that that brought and lifting everyone's spirits, giving them hope. That was huge."

Want some more? yes!

"Yet, Bush left a legacy much more tangible than yardage or touchdowns.
Fans didn't sell out the Superdome because of Payton. Fans didn't spend FEMA money on season tickets because of Brees and his surgically repaired right shoulder.
"REG-GIE!" brought them back. He brought them all back, and then some."

"In the years that he spent with us, he was very instrumental in what we became," Payton said. "From the minute he was drafted, for those people that were here at that time, it was a significant step for us. Very shortly thereafter, we sold out for the first time. You would have had to have been here to recognize the importance of that selection, and then the steps that began leading up to that season.

"He's an electric player."...blah blah blah. LAKESHOW doesn't want to overkill the truth. But please allow the truth to set yall free.

Heres another comical tidbit to finally add into the mix.
"The Texans are going to take Mario (Williams)," said Bush's then-marketing agent Mike Ornstein, according to Payton's book. "Reggie does not want to play in New Orleans. He wants to be in a bigger market. This is not who you want to draft. You need to understand: This kid doesn't want to come there."

Payton told Ornstein, "(Expletive) you," and ended the call
