This is a fantastic pick up for them. Romo should be on cloud 9 right now.

Dallas FO has made some excellent moves the past couple years.

Sounds like Jones has taken a step back and allowed his son to have more input.

My only concern is him saying publicly he'd be willing to part with a first rounder.

Stephen had been in charge of the team for about 3 years now. Will McClay has been in charge of scouting and the draft for about the same time frame too.

As for the comment about giving up a 1st round pick. That's not exactly what he said. The question was asked to him on a local radio station (The Fan). He said first that you have to understand he's done it twice before and been burned on it (Joey Galloway and then Roy Williams) and that he would be reluctant to do it again. He then said but it's always an option. He never once said "I'm willing to give up next year's 1st round pick for Adrian Peterson."

Besides I don't see any way in hell Stephen lets him trade next year's first. Especially with the way Will McClay has been putting together the team's drafts lately.

I could see the Cowboys dealing a conditional pick.

Being a first rounder if they won the Super Bowl.

It'd basically be a second rounder anyway.

I would be okay with that.

Cowboys got 3 top 20 players in this year's draft. If they all stay out of trouble and keep their heads on straight, Look out. With Sean Lee coming back and some nice new pieces on defense, we are a serious super bowl contender. Barring injury and Jerry Jones **** things up.

People forget the foundation of those great 90s Cowboys teams was their OL, and they may be on the verge of repeating that. Hopefully Callahan leaving to coach up the Skins OL hurts them, but they certainly have a ton of talent up front. You gotta put them as the #2 favorites in the NFC next year(still think Seattle is #1).
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.
