Jim Edmonds has a career line of .288/.380/.534. Griffey Jr, by contrast, has a .291/.374/.557 career line. Edmonds offense is very comparable to Griffey

I think it would be a crime for Chipper not to make it, especially Andruw making it over him. Even at 35 and with the injuries Chipper is one of the best players in the league. His consistency over his career is remarkable. He's underrated as a 3rd baseman and an overall athlete as well.
As far as Chipper vs. Rolen, I like Rolen, but not sure how he gets the edge. I think Chipper is better offensively than Rolen is defensively. There's a fairly healthy difference between .305/.402/.543 and .284/.374/.510.

A hallf of fame career is made in usually 15 years. All those guys need 10-15 years.

Yes Piazza is a HOF.
Rolen and Edmonds, well I'm not so sure they are immediate locks but I think they have very good chances of getting in.
Rangers:
Lock: Sammy Sosa??? Let the debate begin....
Possible: Mark Teixera, Michael Young (needs to continue to string together 200 hit seasons)
... But about Sammy Sosa, first of all, do ya'll think he deserves to get in? And second of all, how many ballots do you think will pass before he gets in if you think he will? I think he should be and does get in. He's got 600 career HRs and he's only the 5th person to ever do so. Yea, he has played in the steroid era and yea his DEF is pretty much non-existent, and you can speculate about steroids all you want, but 600 HRs is still 600 HRs. He's the 5th greatest HR hitter to ever play, doesn't that deserve a place in the HOF? What do ya'll think?

Piazza is definitely a hall of famer.
But Edmonds and Rolen? No way. And for the dude who compared Edmonds to Griffey, you forgot to mention that Griffey has 580 home runs.
Griffey also had the best 10 year stretch in history....as for Sosa he's in as far as I'm concerned.....as are Bonds and McGwire....they never failed a test or were convicted of anythign, as was Palmeiro

they should be known for being part of the "steroid era" and put in.
I'm not sold on Rolen getting in, but I think Edmunds will get in eventually (not first ballot).
And when i said 4-6 years, I meant 4-6 years of playing great. They still need a long stretch of time of greatness to be put in. From there the last 4-5 years can just be from very good to pretty good/ok.

You should change "Need 4-6 years" with "Need 10-15 years". Nobody on your 4-6 years list is even close to being a HOF without 10 more exceptional years.
And did I hear Papelbon? ROFLMAO. That's a joke. The guy hasn't even pitched 120 innings and you already have him destined to the HOF? Why not put Brad Lidge in the HOF? Eric Gagne? John Wetteland?
Billy Wagner, Trevor Hoffman and Mariano Rivera are the only 3 closers who have a chance to make the HOF in the next 10 years.

Check what Griffey did in the 90's BBAll Jesus. I mean come on. You forced me to bring out the stats.
Griffey HR-422, AVG-.301, Hits-1763, RBI-1209, Gold Gloves - 10 in a row

Piazza should be going in as a Dodger. They gave him a shot, made him a star, he had his best offensive seasons as a Dodger and only played a half a dozen years, on the tail end of his career, in NY.
Griffey had A great 10 year stretch, most likely greater than Edmonds, but it wasn't THE greatest 10 year stretch. mahalo

LOL at the greatest 10 year stretch in history for Griffey. I mean, it's definitely in the top-30.
No love for Scott Rolen? He's 32 years old, people. He could play another 4-5 very good seasons. He's the best 3B defender of this generation, a very, very good hitter. What more do you want? He's not Chipper Jones with the bat, but he's so much better defensively that it's almost like they don't even play the same position.

You're missing the point because your rephrasing doesn't change the fact that Griffey never had the greatest anything. He had one of the all time greatest stretch of dominance and may have been the best player of the 90s but it's not clear cut nor is it the greatest decade of anyone in any era. Pre-steroid Bonds would make a compelling case as the best player of the decade as well (although my choice does go for Griff). mahalo
