Sheets now out 4-6 Weeks. This guy just can't stay healthy can he? Well looks like a downfall and a crumble to me is right around the corner.

So what happens if you only make up about 1-2 games when Sheets is out? Its not like the guy pitches everyday and its not like his replacements are terrible. We have a top 3 pitching prospect in Gallardo who had 3 QS in his first three starts and an ERA of 2.79 in those games. You might want to see how he does -- starting Thursday -- before making any huge proclamations. Think Mark Prior as a rookie, because that is exactly who he reminds me of.
The Cubs have also been playing out of control baseball for the last 21 games. Your record is 16-5 in that time period for a good ol winning percentage of 76%. The Brewers winning percentage during that time has been .571, which is right in line with their overall percentage on the year of .570.
Despite all of that, the Brewers still have the second largest divisional lead in baseball behind only the Red Sox.

Yeah, and the Cubs have never choked
A Cubs fan expecting any team that is not the Cubs to choke is comical.
Yes the Cubs have choked. 2004 is the most recent. We had the wildcard and Houston made a miraculous push that took them into the world series. We would've had the wildcard if we had won against the Reds, which were completely out of it.
Having said that, every team has choked at some point.
What you wanted to say is that we just plain sucked. Winning 60-70 games a season doesn't give you a chance to choke, your just merely a bad team. Plain and simple.
Well knowing that, the Brewers SUCK!
The Brewers have had 2 winning seasons in the last 15 years. One of them being this year and the other year the Brew Crew was exactly at .500/81-81, which is barely successful.
Compare that to the Cubs in the last 15 years and its a joke. The last 15 years for the Cubs they have had 7 winning seasons, including this year. That includes a pennant and a wildcard playoff appearance, which is more than Brewer fans can claim.
I'd rather be a fan of a team that has an opportunity to choke then a welcome mat of the league.
I would rather be a Cubs fan, and proud of it!
Let me guess you just bought your first Brewers hat this year?

Actually, I've been a lifelong die-hard Brewer fan who doesn't particularly care for all the fair-weatheredness I'm seeing in Milwaukee. However, I'll take it considering Milwaukee isn't a big market and therefore must take any revenue it can get.
I've never been one of the Milwaukee fans that absolutely just hates the Cubs until this year though - simply because I hate teams that act like the Yankees and Red Sox and simply try to purchase winning teams. I really think that's bad for baseball. I LOVE the fact that the Brewers are winning with home grown talent. Therefore, I would rather be a Brewers fan, and proud of it!

Baseball is baseball and business in baseball is business. period.
Anyway you put it buying your way to a world series has always been prevalent in all sports so I don't know why there is a complaint. I never complained about the Yankees or RedSox when the Cubs were losing, therefor I can't complain now about my own team.
The Cubs payroll isn't even close to being ridiculous like the Yankees. Even the RedSox payroll is reasonable.
You do have a point about homegrown talent though. Cub fans have always been proud of Wood and Prior because of that fact.
I find it hard to believe if you were on the other side of the fence you would be complaining about your own team.

I don't see why you're taking issue with my reasonsing for disliking the Cubs. ALL fans of small market teams resent the spending habits of teams in larger markets. I realize that's reality, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
I agree that if I were a Cubs fan (a really difficult hypothetical for me to grasp

I agree that if I were a Cubs fan (a really difficult hypothetical for me to grasp), I likely wouldn't have any issue with what the Cubs are doing.
Thats pretty much the main reason why Football is Americas number one sport.
I do have to admit baseball would be that much more fun if payrolls were equal, on the other hand, it wouldn't feel so good every year when the Yankees don't make it to the World Series.
I am a Cubs fan first and a Mets fan second.

A pinpoint fastball. He also has a 2seam with some movement, not much but enough to merit it a 2seam and not looking like his 4seam. He also has a curve and a changeup.
Great arsenal of pitches with some stellar control. He is young though so hes not someone you can hang your hat on yet.
We'll see though but he looks scary from a Cub fan POV.

You got that right. Kind of sucks the fun out of it when some teams can have double and triple the payroll of other teams.

The thought that came into my head when reading this is-
I wonder how much teams like the Brewers, KC, Tampa Bay, etc really have in their farm system.
I bet teams like the Cubs hype up their prospects by means of their big market connections and the less fortunate teams just shutup and wait 'till they actually prove something.
Hence, Corey frickin' Patterson.
