Our Old Cubs Thread

Post#1 » by SportsWorld » Fri Jul 20, 2007 9:02 am

During preseason I made a Cubs thread on MLB Diamond (Basketball forum) and today I looked back on some of the posts.

Pie would never be the 4th OF..

Hendry has gone on record saying when he gets called up it's to play everyday..

Why on earth would Hendry call him up to be the 4th OF and rarely play? Makes 0 sense..

Have you seen Pie play before? He's extremely raw.. Has a lot of developing to do..

Having him be the 4th OF is (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

Now to treyZz's defense this was before Pie's monster spring.

Here is another post by him: (On JJ)
Do you remember him in RF last year? And his throws? That went instantly into the ground?

Or how about the base running?

The guy is junk..

I am absolutely disgusted.

Waived Poster Mr81 posted this quote from Sweet Lou on Neal Cotts:
gotta love lou . . . when asked what he sees in Neal Cotts: "I see he gives up runs every time he pitches."

TreyZz posts another classic:
Hendry showcasing Jones in CF for the Marlins? Me think so..

Pie is playing RF, Jones CF.

PACK YOUR BAGS JACQUE. YOU'RE ON THE WAY OUT.

Funny the Marlins deal was really close a month ago.

I am cringing at all the posts I made about Zambrano nearing a deal.

Well, we know which one didn't stand out.

Its hard to knock on Miller 'cause he was such a good pitcher before the injury.

Hendry seems to like guys coming off of Tommy John Surgery and had high hopes for him. Still could pan out but I don't know if there is room for him on this team.

Funky delivery though.

Thanks again for Tuesday Will. Love those walks with the bases loaded.

I completely underestimated the ignorance and stupidity of the organization.
