Farnsworth is an idiot but he is a power arm. If he can get his mind right, he and joba can be nasty out of the pen. Power arms seem to dominate in postseason play, especially out of the pen.
the yankees just haven't had this type of quality power in a long time, and I am excited..
Also has anyone noticed how well Bettimit has hit the ball, off the bench he and duncan can be real weapons..

He strikes out a good amount but I've noticed most of them have been strikeouts looking. I'm not worried, I don't think he has any glaring holes in his swing, he just doesn't get enough at-bats.

I wouldn't really compare him to Cano. Robinson Cano with more power is a guy that realistically could contend for a triple crown in 5-6 years. But seriously, how many guys are there in the major leagues that can play all 4 infield positions and hit like Betemit? Ty Wigginton is the only one who comes to mind, and hell...I'd say thats a pretty fair comparison.

Betemit also has more upside compared to Wigginton, considering he has peaked and Betemit is only 25 or 27 depending on who you ask. I think that next year, he will have all his strikeouts under control. Kevin Long has done an exceptional job with Cano to cut down his strikeouts, I don't see why Betemit couldn't get better at it, providing he decides to work at it. -Jitpal

Betemit is officially 25 according to Cashman.

I agree with the upside, but how often do prospects pan out to best case scenarios? If Betemit turns out to be a Ty Wigginton type no one can be dissapointed. I think its a perfect comparison
