Ok, move him to long relief and go with a 4 man rotation or start the fifth starter by committe. Desalvo, clippard, whatever..... Just venting, if you don't like the thread then don't read..

it is simple bro...

Yankees aren't going to go to a 4 man rotation, and Mussina is light years better than Desalvo and Clippard.

Mussina struggled tonight no doubt, but he has been pretty good since the all-star break. He had a bad day, let's see how he recovers his next start.

Thats not going to work either. You can't tell me Desalvo and Clippard are better right now than Moose, those guys were getting shelled up here.

Desalvo couldnt locate any of his pitches and Clippard just is not ready

OMG mussina gave up 6 runs in 2 innings... We should waive him alongside:

Wang for allowing 8 in 3 innings
Clemens for allowing 8 in 1 inning
Hughes for getting smacked around by the royals
Mariano for allowing 3 runs in an inning
ETC ETC

These kind of threads piss me off mainly because I never see a Mussina picthed a solid 7 innings tonight thread.....

EDIT: For those who dont know, mussina has allowed more than 3 runs only twice in his last 13 starts...

You cannot DFA every player who underperforms. Some of you are crazy, you have no basis in reality. Mussina is owed around $15 million, he isn't getting DFAd.
