Im not gonna lie and pretend i no who those 2 Pitchers r but if they r as good as u say they r i say replace atleast one for Henn

Britton was the guy we got for Wright. He has a 95-96 mph fastball. He has been closing for AAA. He pitched 5 innings earlier this year and has given up no runs. He set up for Chris Ray last year and did pretty damn well.

Ohlendorf is one of the guys we got for Randy Johnson. He was a starter but he was converted to the bullpen around the same time Joba was. 93-94 mph sinker. Pretty good slider. Think Wang-lite. He had some back issues which threw off his control early and I remember reading he was doing well out of the pen in AAA. -Jitpal

And u can also put the blame on Torre for this game... I think he trusts this offense a lil 2 much givin da bullpen players short outings and puttin Moe in a non save situation even if he needed work

Roger and Henn f'd us

Roger with a horrible start and Henn with the awful ending

Our offense didnt do well after the 5th or 6th inning, but they still scored 6 freaking runs.6 runs should be enough to win a game but Clemens was just bad

When you start a game at 11 freeeking PM, anything can happen. Why didn't they just call it and play it at 1 today? This actually may be a blessing in disguise, imagine playing a double header the day before the Boston series.

Torre cant win, if he brought guys in for 2 innings ya'll would be saying that he's overworking the bullpen. Here is the Joba arguement again. He threw an inning in that win Thursday night. If we don't use him then he has 3 days off, we could have used him for 2 innings if he was a normal pitcher and he probably would have been fine to come back out today.

But no he's Joba Chamberlain, and even though he's in the majors we must baby him. Dammit Yankees Brass

sean henn has cost us 2 games in the standings THIS week...if we missed out in the playoffs by tat margin, thatd be pretty sad....our best players should be out there, and i have no clue why he is there over cats like britton and others

Exactly Kandi, but we shouldn't be arguing over Henn. The two games we need to look at the managing of Chamberlain. He easily could have pitched the game against LAA, and shouldn't have been brought in the rest of the week. He would have then been available for 2 innings last night. Today he would get the day off, then been available for the game Sunday afternoon. Pitching in relief for a 1/3 of the season on a schedule like any other reliever is not going to blow out your arm.

Would you rather Joba be on the disabled list all next year when we need him as a starter?

The way Chamberlain dominated AA and AAA, I don't get why he can't replace Mussina in the rotation. A starter is way more valuable than a bullpen piece, and maybe Mussina can work some things out in the bullpen. I know the Yankees don't want to start him this year, but it's not like he's been overworked throughout the year.

If Joba remained a starter this season, he would've reached his innings limit way too early for our liking. It is in our best interest to keep him in the pen so he can pitch into mid-late October in a perfect world.

But to pitch to mid-late October you have to get there first
