What's funny is, if you look at his numbers, his rushing yards are amazing of course but you look at his passing yards and might think others are better.

But if you score a touchdown almost every drive, you aren't out there passing as much, you don't have to!

if other quarterbacks, pass and get a field goal or punt, they have to pass more to score and win the game. Lamar and the Ravens just get the ball and score at a very high percentage.

He is redefining the position, and is actually better in being more effective running an offense than those other big name passers with more yardage.

Man, this thread needs highlights:

Yeah but still not prime Vick. I don't actually think he's close. If prime Vick was playing in this league he'd be a suped up Mahomes

I think Lamar is more than Vick could have been. Lamar in the open field is just something different. It's Pop Warner for him out there. At this level the QB shouldn't be the best athlete on the field.

I would've liked to see an offense created for Vick. Not taking anything away from Lamar but I still think Vick is a better athlete and more dynamic. JMO

that part i will agree with. League just wasn't ready for something like that so they didn't know what to do with that skillset. But watching Lamar run and cut is something out of the kick returner library and shouldn't be coming from your QB. Mike looked like a QB running (although light years ahead of any QB we had seen to that point) Lamar looks like a skill player when he tucks and go. It's just different. Lamar is scratching the surface, I truly think as long as he doesn't get hurt it's gonna take some time for the rest of the league to catch up to him. He's starting to read progressions better and if/when that comes around then it's a wrap.

Reading progressions and vision of the field had been Vicks issues in past years. Jackson has a little better field vision when it comes to passing. But at his age, that can be given time to develop.

Agree. Vick is more explosive runner, I do think Lamar is the better thrower. This is just Lamar's second season, his throwing should keep improving.

I don’t see the career trajectory for Lamar being any different from other strong run first QBs. He’ll have another couple of good years and then start fading. He’s not a strong passer and never will be. You can’t develop accuracy very much. You either have it or you don’t.

Once defenses figure out his running tendencies (and they always do) and get him out of his comfort zone then the hits will start taking a toll on his body and he won’t be the same. A guy like Russell Wilson has alway picked his spots to run and is a much better passer so he still thrives.

Seriously, sample size and age criteria for playoff chocker label is getting smaller by year.

I wasn't too high on him but the guy has mvp and younger than joe burrow.
