Next season? I’m fully expecting Minshew to replace him at some point this season.

He's done better than most rookie QBs this season, and last year in the games he played as a rookie he was better than any of those this year.

TD/Int ratio much better than any of the rookies. He has the same passer rating as Mac Jones but a better td/int ratio. They are only ranked behind solid starting QBs.

While all that may be true, he fails the eye test. He's not an efficient high volume passer, has an inaccurate deep ball, and struggles to get through his reads. He has struggled in all the Eagles tough matchups and typically just stat pads his way to decent finishes. I get it though, his playmaking ability is tantalizing so Eagle fans can only pray that he develops in those aforementioned areas but I have my concerns.

I think QBs need more than 1 season before it is decided yay or nay. It's just not fair to expect QBs to be prime Mahomes right out the gate.

Generally speaking if you are rolling a 1st year starter out at QB you should probably view it as a developmental type season.

Maybe. But he's played less than 1 season. Under this type of scrutiny, Josh Allen would have been cast aside.

I was never really high on Jalen Hurts but you don't move on from Wentz and go all in on this guy only to give up. He is dirt cheap the next 2 years after this one.

They are really not that far off. I think the team as a whole feels much more confident with him leading them than Wentz. Seems like a young resilient guy that does not give up and fights to get better.

Just the fact he was such a highly rated recruit, got injured, lost his job to Tua, left Bama, and then fought his way back to be a heisman candidate at OKLA was impressive.

why didn't you ride the cooper rush momentum??

I don't think it would have made any difference to be honest. It was a total lack of team effort today. Dropped passes, missed blocks. lousy coaching again and a team that was totally flat and didn't show up. I've been expecting this type of effort the past 3 weeks but wasn't sure when it would rear it's ugly head. Considering how it has gone for us the past 26 years, I will still take the 6 - 2 record at this point in the season.

Pittsburg is -7 tonight against the Bears (at home)

Feels like a slam dunk Steelers bet. I don't think Fields will be able to operate at all against this defense.

Officials screwed the Bears over big time last night. Many horrible calls.

Fields is finally starting to settle down a little. Looks like that game against the Bucs was a big time reality check.
