Really sad. I read that his broke down or ran out of gas or something and he was struck on the shoulder as he was walking to get help.

I feel like Schefter has been pretty classless for a while. Would love a different reporter to take his throne.

RIP.

RIP to Haskins. Very sad, way too young. The Schefter tweet was classless but his name is currently trending on Twitter and Haskins isn't.

That means there are more people talking about Schefter's tweet than there are people talking about Haskin's death.

Not trying to defend Schef here, but it really feels like people have gone too nuts over this tweet to the point that they've lost sight over the real tragedy.

The real criminal here is Gil Brandt, apology or not.

"I hate any time anybody is killed or anybody dies. But he was a guy that was living to be dead, so to speak,” Brandt said nationally."
...
"They told him don’t under any circumstances leave school early. You just don’t have the work habits, you don’t have this, you don’t have that. What did he do? Left school early ... Any time anybody dies, it’s tragic, especially when you’re 24 years old and you’ve got your whole life ahead of you. Maybe if he stayed in school a year he wouldn’t do silly things," Brandt continued.

Brandt is old enough where you sort of ignore it when he puts his foot in his mouth.

You are right, but he’s still an analyst for the NFL and they still put a mic in front of his mouth.

He was both drunk and high according to toxicology reports.

Sad. But if he was driving prior I have no sympathy (he had a girl in the car with him which is why I'm saying this)

You're an NFL QB. If you're going to a rave in the offseason and enjoying recreational drug use plan ahead to get a **** cab. Dude had all the talent in the world, really sad story to see and it never had to happen.
