I personally like 10 out of 12 making it in, with 6 byes and somewhat of a "play-in" game between 7-10 and 8-9. That gives a little more incentive to stay active in the league IMO.

I agree with this too, interest would still be kept with lower seeded teams. I think that if everyone makes it in... you could have teams that are just bad and would lose interest until the playoffs where they are likely to lose anyway, and if they somehow win that wouldnt be fair to the higher seeded team who was more than likely an invested player all season.

I kind of thought 8 was the right number, but I also thought the top seeds should get a reward and byes. I think I had set it up for 10 teams anyway already with 6 byes. That seemed like a lot of byes, but I guess if you finish top half of league you get a week off, next four battle it out to get in, and two who did worst or didn't participate much, miss.

Yeah, I like that choice. It's a lot of byes, but it even provides incentive between the 6th-8th best teams to keep competing hard to earn that bye, and then hopefully the bottom 10th-12th teams fighting just to get in.

If I'm in last and a spoiler I'm gonna work that waiver wire to destroy who I'm playing last week as necessary.

Good thing we didn't draft before yesterday or somebody would have been really pissed about Tony Romo going down

so best strategy for defensive players is to pick them last and hope for the best?

Wouldn't have been me. I'm unlikely to draft a Cowboy's player.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Most drafts I've seen involving individual defensive players have a couple of the very top guys going around the 5th or 6th round, then a few more of the upper end guys between rounds 8-10, but the vast majority go off the board at round 11 or later. I would do a google search and look at a few examples of IDP drafts. I've never actually done one, but this is similar to what bwgood has said as well.

I GOT TWO!

I'm actually alright with this. Most of my mocks have been in the top half of the draft. I've gotten use to it.

Can we predraft trade? I'd be willing to swap picks for the first two rounds if someone is feeling high on one of the early guys

Why not? Just select a specific player for your trade partner.

Why not? Go Cam round 1, Rogers round 2 and you've got 20+ points from your QB and OP spots
