Great season Jack. Your boys had a hell of a run.

Penix hasn’t looked as good in this game as he did last week. I’m still going to be really interested to see where (or if) he’s drafted.

Most scouts will tell you that Penix is one of the best throwers that have come out recently. He'll go in the 1st round.

Texas didn't have the guys outside to matchup with the WR's. Deboer & Grubb had a full month to prepare & exploit that matchup.

Dillon Johnson should not have played in this game. He looked a step slow all night. I'm surprised the coaches stuck with him. Penix did not have his best game either.

The team made too many costly mistakes. But Michigan was simply the better team.

Called it :( Actually been calling it since the beginning of the season, these good big 10 and SEC teams just beat you up in the line of scrimmage and front seven then spit you out, they have a lot of pros. Eventually west teams will recruit differently to compete in big 10 but there will be some growing pains for sure.

Good thing I am very far from midwest, if I stay away from internets for a week or so it should get better, right?

What I saw wasn’t necessarily the Michigan DL overpowering the Washington OL. It was LBs rushing from the edge just beating these poor tackles. Doesn’t bode well for the NFL draft prospects of those linemen.

I would think UGA has overpowering DL.

Gregg Elroy was saying that UM disguised coverages well including post snap. So Penix had some uncertainty and maybe the WRs were also not reading coverages.

When it was a 7 point game, UW had some good screens and short passes with TE releasing late. But then noting when they got in FG range.

Still UW WRs did get wide open but Penix was missing them, often overthrowing them.

Someone this morning questioned whether he could take the physical punishment that NFL QBs take. He’s 6-3 but maybe thin?

When he was transferring from Indiana there was a Big 10 program that said something along the lines of "his body is not built for football".

It will be interesting how far he falls, performance against a front seven with NFL players is a good gauge. Stroud's dominance of Georgia was the indication that he was going to be a franchise quarterback.

He's too thin? Ahhh yes. I forgot. Its draft season.
.I woulda taken Stroud over Bryce. (Both California kids who ive watched over the years) And possibly Herbert over Tua, althoughTua is playing at a high level. Size does matter in the NFL.
If Penix is too thin and fragile, oh boy, here we go again. Cause for sure, Penix is SHAQ compared to Tua and Bryce

As a GM the only problem I would have with Penix is his injury history and his sidearm delivery. Outside of that I really like the QB.

DeBoer is getting a huge raise soon. Plus, he's not really the type to take that job.

I don’t think he’s a good fit at Alabama. Seems like he doesn’t vibe with the southern culture.

Likely true

But Alabama has deep pockets.

Agreed. He started out at Sioux Falls.
