The talk is now talk of the Past. He's a 5th rounder. Whether he was good or not in the past does not matter. As a 5th rounder, it's sink or swim, right now right now.

I mentioned this earlier but I’m almost positive I’ve heard of this happening before. This year it’s getting a lot of attention though, and also there’s a lot more examples of it happening.

The draft is toxic now. Remember in 2015 when the pictures of the dolphins OL went viral for smoking pot? It’s legal now. He was damaged because of that.

I feel bad for these kids. Goodell needs to clean this up

Or maybe the multi-billion-dollar NFL could implement some basic data security.

Okay this prank call stuff is getting out of hand. And Im not talking about the prank calls, Im talking about how much of a story this has become.

This has been a yearly occurrence for as long as I can recall watching the draft and social media being a thing. None of this is new and I feel like this has just been something everyone knows that happens during drafts.

Is it dumb? Ya. Is it some breaking news that has to be covered on ESPN for a week straight? No haha. Ill also say this, I understand the internet. Get ready for an even crazier amount of prank calls next year. Now ESPN and everyone making a massive deal about this on social media just put a huge engagement incentive to do this. And there is no lack of people who will do anything for engagement online for a chance to go viral.

I will say this, looking at the brand new 2026 mock draft that ESPN just put out.

Wow if the draft ends up anywhere near like that mock draft. Im praying Minnesota doesnt have a down year. Cade Klubnik as the #1 pick? I was high on him coming out of high school, I bought the hype. But my god has he looked rough at Clemson so far.

Im already looking forward to the 2027 draft. That's where the freaks are at. Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Williams, Dylan Stewart, KJ Bolden, Koi Perich, throw in Arch if he doesnt leave after this year.

I don't get the Arch hype. I really don't. I just don't see it. I might have Allar as the top guy. But yeah, next year's QB class looks rough.

If you dont understand the Arch hype, then you dont understand football!

I think he's like a Drake Maye level prospect. Pretty high, but not quite at the elite level. I think the positives for Arch is his size, very fast release and a pretty damn good athlete.

I just cant get on board with Allar. I dont know what it is either. I tend to like the bigger QBs that have big arms. There is just something missing with Allar for me. And to be fair, Im willing to admit this can 100% be a Penn State thing haha. I just dont trust a QB from Penn State.

I just can't get the Georgia game out of my mind. He was completely raddled.

He couldn't beat out Quinn Ewers for the starting job, basically. I think you know my stance on Ewers.

Maybe he improves? But I have to see a big improvement to completely buy in. I'm not there. Right now, he's living off his last name.

I will admit for sure the name has something to do with it. But I do like the physical traits though. 6'4, clocked at 21 mph, quick compact release with Id say A arm talent. With that said, I would like to see what he looks like in a full game against legit competition.

You can put it in stone, Arch Manning will be the #1 pick.

2026 of 2027?

And you saying this because you think he deserves it? Or a mix of talent and name recognition?

He might be. But up to this point it's because of his last name. He's primarily been a backup. People are projecting him as a #1 pick because of "Manning". But he still has to prove it.

That’s really the question. Will he declare for the draft in ‘26 or ‘27. That will depend on who has the #1 pick.

As for why he will be the #1 pick, pretty much because of everything you said. There will likely be at least 1 QB that physically looks better than Arch (although Arch fits the prototype). But none will have the physical tools, success will n college, and the pedigree. With that said yes I do expect Texas to challenge for the National Title.

Just found out Myles Hinton is the son of Chris Hinton; the Broncos 1983 1st round pick who they traded to the Colts after John Elway refused to play for them.

After watching more film on these guys, it's Drew Allar. Assuming he plays well this year, he'll be picked early.

Arch is getting most of the hype. But he's only started 2 games. It sounds like he'll stay in school for another year.

The rest of the QB class though is pretty rough.

Sellers (South Carolina) is getting a bunch of hype. But similar to Richardson, his play is like a car crash.

Nussmeier is an older prospect with a lower ceiling.

Whereas the 2027 class should have Arch, DJ Lagway & the kid from Nebraska.
