Re: 2025 NFL Off-Season
Gladstone might actually be my #1 choice. I know it's hard to really judge how good non-GMs would be as GM, but Gladstone has been director of scouting for the Rams since 2021, and I think in that time they've been one of the best if not the best team in the league when it comes to drafting in the mid-late rounds
I just really don't want Waugh, nothing against the guy personally, he apparently is really well liked just, we need a clean break for once and he represents a continuation of the old regime.

Didn't stop the Bengals from re-signing Ryan Rehkow, Cal Adomitis, and Cam Grandy... They're big game hunting. Hendrickson, Chase, and Higgins who? LmaoWorm Guts wrote:GoRapstheoriginal wrote:Did the Raiders re sign anyone yet!??!?

No shock here, Bengals finally cut Rankins, save almost $10 million against the cap. Guy "had a viral illness" for the final 7 weeks of the season.

It's official:
We really did a full clean sweep. I never thought this day would actually come. The process was ass-backwards, but still
My big worry is how inexperienced all the guys we hired are. But we'll see how it plays out.

Re: 2025 NFL Off-Season
Chase is looking for $40 million a year or more.
Bengals put up huge numbers and this season they had a lot of explosive plays. But is it a winning formula, to go up and down the field?
There might be some games where keeping possession increases odds of winning.
Even if they try again to be a big play offense, there is no guarantee that Chase could keep putting up these kinds of numbers. Still probably over 100 receptions and well over 1000 yards.
But a better running game and ball control offense with a great possession WR or an impact TE might give their defense a break, maybe lead to more wins.
Burrow wants them to keep both Chase and Higgins but that just might be too much money for WRs, QB. Their defense needs help so they have to hit big on the draft because it doesn’t sound like they will be acquiring free agents on defense.

Eagles players were asked by the team's front office if they would accept and invitation to the White House.
Overwhelmingly said no.

Pete was on a flight from Seattle to Indy. Poor guy had to sit in coach.
I guess Mark Davis is too cheap to get him a first-class ticket.

I heard business class is better if you actually want to work.
I dunno though; I've last been on a flight in 2009 and bjj gambled away my plane tickets to the NFL RealGM meetup by betting on the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

This is why I won't ever be able to visit Thailand...although I very much want to visit Thailand.
Hurry up and invent teleportation please, somebody, maybe Lord Musk or some other so-called genius...just do it already!
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Re: 2025 NFL Off-Season
Not only does Pete Carroll have the money for his own first-class ticket, he has the money for his own plane.
But since he flew there on team business, you'd think an NFL owner would pick it up.

He was flying out of Seattle, along with a bunch of Seahawk team employees. So, it was probably a last-minute thing. Since he still has a home in the area.
He kind of strikes me as the frugal type. So does Mark Davis.

He still got gambling debt, but since the Seahawks gave him a post-playing career job, he can finally retire.

The eagles and dodgers have been successful doing this.
I honestly applaud it. Whatever it takes.

There’s something wrong with teams if they don’t do that considering there’s large tv and streaming deals in the future that will inevitably increase the salary cap for all teams. The problem with teams that don’t do that is they have owners that don’t care about the fans and only wants to put more money in their own pocket.
