1. They reached on Mazi. The other NT Keeanu Benton was in my eyes much better value & has been a standout for Pittsburgh so far. PFF has him at a near 70 score. While Mazi has been well below average & just a disappointment for the most part.
2. The Cowboys we're kind of in a tough spot picking at the backend of the round. As this draft didn't have a ton of impact guys, especially in that range.
I thought they should’ve gone Brian branch or Nolan smith. Yes, Nolan smith hasn’t done that well so far but he also isn’t getting very many opportunities because the eagles are absolutely stacked at edge rusher right now. Branch on the other hand is having a good rookie season so far in Detroit.
Branch would've been a solid pick. I thought he was a 1st round talent.
Mazi probably went a round too early imo. Benton went at pick 50. That's likely the same range that Mazi should’ve been picked as well.
