In all fairness he also drove them down the field and scored what was basically a walk off TD. He also saved the Cowboys ass when Rico fumbled. He still needs to do this in the playoffs but this was a good win for Dak (although not a good game). Winning ugly against the #1 defense in the NFL (to this point) on the road, after an 1 1/2 game delay is a good thing.

It’s nice to read a well balanced post about Dak. Not sure why some are attacking Daks regular season play.
It’s his post season play that sucks.

He has 7 post season games 14 TDs and 7 INTs, rating of 91.8
That really isn't that bad and plenty of QBs have won with worse stat lines.
Every QB throws INTs, as pointed out Mahomes leads the NFL in INTs right now, and look at the Chiefs. The difference is they kept New Orleans from putting up 100 points.

With BJJ every loss is because of Dak, and every win is in spite of Dak. Even when Dak leads a game ending TD drive.

I don’t blame the saints loss on Dak at all. The cowboys scored on their first three drives. But you are t going to win when the other team scores TDs on their first 5 or 6 opening drives.

The point I was trying to make is that great teams survive INTs. See the Chiefs-Saints last night. And while Dak did play poorly vs the Packers, we still scored 32 points. We win that game if our defense shows up. Jordan Love went ape sh*t on us.

In all fairness, being the highest paid player in the league that's exactly what he is suppose to do. And not against scrub teams like the Steelers. Dak was sure great in the red zone wasn't he, sacked twice, fumble and a couple int's. If he wasn't so pathetic earlier in the game he would not have had to get lucky and rescue the team this time. By the way, the Steelers are not the #1 defense in the NFL. That title currently belongs to Chris Jones and the Chiefs.

Well I do expect a $60M QB to step up and be the reason you won (on most occasions) and last I checked they won the game because of what Dak did. At this point in the season that’s all you can really ask of him.

Dak does nothing wrong in you eyes so its pointless even trying to talk about him with you. Like I said, I'm happy you are happy with all the fumbles, Int's, sacks and play by your boy in the red zone Sunday night. Let's see how things shake out the next 3 weeks when the Cowboys actually play playoff and top level teams.

That's just false, I literally just said in my last post in here that Dak played poorly vs the Packers.

I am capable of saying that Dak can play poorly....I mean I just did. But when have you ever been capable of saying that Dak played well? Never. It's pure bias with you that goes beyond reality or anything that actually happens on the field.

Re: Dak Prescott thread
Most of time my point isn't even that Dak played good or bad. Usually my point is that the game of football is much bigger than the QB, and that teams can and have won Super Bowls with mediocre QB play. Not even rare. On a few occasions teams have won Super Bowls with flat out bad QB play.
Mahomes threw 0 TDs last night, and 1 INT....the Chiefs still won. Because the Chiefs have a solid "TEAM"....defense, coaching, everything.
It's time fans stop pointing at Dak, he is what he is, and start asking the rest of the team to get their sh*t together.

Why are you bringing up the Packers game? Who cares, that was last year. Why don't you bring up his play so far this year because this is where we are NOW. You really expect me to be satisfied with Dak this past weekend when he got sacked 3 times, had a fumble and 2 int's in the red zone while being the highest paid player in the NFL. Field goal, field goal and field goal all season long. Ever wonder why the Cowboys never go deep when playoffs come around? this is one of these concerns.

Nobody on the defense makes 60 mill a year. Nice try. If you think the Cowboys suck at coaching and defense, then stop enabling Jerry and falling for his crap. You still just don't get it.

Okay, I'll be sure to remind you of that when you bring up games from the past.
This year? our defense is much worse than our offense.
Sacks aren't on Dak either, so pointless to bring them up. Mahomes was sacked twice last night and I bet you don't blame Mahomes.

So because Dak makes $60m the rest of the cap space gets a free pass?

The QB on most NFL teams makes the most money and down the road $60per will be average pay for a QB.
Hell probably will be next season. Currently there are 7 QBs who makes more than $50M per. You can bet we will see $70-per next pay cycle.

I won’t agree with that last part either. Dak is the leader of the team and should be held to the highest standard possible. That’s part of being the QB of any team regardless of how much you make. You are going to get the bulk of the credit for winning and a bulk of the blame for losing.
Dak has shown he can play great during the regular season and it was good to see him finally have a game winning drive in the past minute of regulation (he’s never done that until last night).
I thought he stepped up big when the Cowboys needed it last night. That doesn’t mean that he’s all of a sudden a great playoff performer though because he’s not. He needs to do what he did last night in the playoffs. Until then he will never be considered a great QB.

The run defense has been light years better the last 2 weeks.
