There's one theory that this "standoff" between Jerry and Parsons is that the Cowboys are waiting for an influx of cash before the season, like maybe TV money or sponsors payments or something like that.

To have big chunk of cash to pay Parsons' signing bonus.

Hopefully that money comes in on like September 5th or September 6th, something like that. Those are good dates to pay your star pass rusher.
