Caleb Williams: Dude is a flat out stud. I would take him over any other QBs in this upcoming draft and in the 2024 draft without much hesitation.

Brock Bowers: I cant recall seeing a better TE prospect than him in a very long time. He seems just as explosive as Pitts, while being much more agile and shifty, he is also a far more complete TE compared to Pitts as well. Dude is a freak.

Mario Williams: Just a freak athlete. Im usually not one that likes the tiny WRs, but the explosion of this dude is just next level. His shiftyness and just the ability to go from stop to full speed is like a college version of Tyreek Hill.

Im much higher on the 2024 class than the 2023 class at the moment.

Will Anderson is a bonafide stud. But as far as the QB's, I agree for the most part. The group is being overhyped. I still feel that Bryce Young is the top guy. The rest have huge question marks.

Ya Anderson will no doubt be in talks for the #1 pick. I know you said you arent sold on Levis, but I actually might have him as my #1 QB at the moment. Raw arm talent he is only probably behind Anthony Richardson, but I like his ability to fit the ball in a tight window a lot better than Richardson. I don't like his pocket presence, but I dont know if that is just a case of having his average at best UK O line in front of him in the SEC.

But ya not in love with this draft class at the moment.

No, not a fan of Levis. Which speaks to the class in general. Not great.

Coming into the season, the consensus was that the top 2 guys we're Young & Stroud. Then a gap before you get to the next group of guys (Levis, Richardson, Van Dyke, etc.).

It's still early to judge him after one game. So we'll see...

Bryce Young is still my QB1. If he was 6'2" or taller & had a bigger frame he'd be the consensus guy.

I wouldn't trust ANY AL or OSU QBs. Or QBs from any programs which get a top 3 or top 5 recruiting class every year.

All they get to do is stand behind an OL of FRP linemen, throwing to future Pro Bowl and All-Pro NFL WRs who get big separation against even good college CBs (presumably the CBs in the big conferences are themselves high NFL CB prospects).

We saw it in a previous era with USC QBs and college QBs like Jason White.

Short QBs only succeed in the NFL if they're great playmakers -- second reaction plays. That's assuming they survive the pounding.

Or alternatively, someone like Brees who had great accuracy and then stud interior OLs allowing him to throw from the pocket despite being short.

Young is great at those things you mentioned. Bama does not have a great oline either.

Can we officially put an end to the Will Levis hype after today?

I've come around on Stroud after watching extensive film on him.

Is Stroud putting up better numbers than Justin Fields did?

Stroud is a better prospect.

Fields is slow to process things. That's why he holds onto the ball longer than most. He had the same issue in college & relies on his legs to bail him out. If you watch film on both guys, you will notice a significant difference in how each plays. Stroud also has sound mechanics & makes NFL type throws. He navigates the pocket well. This is still an issue for Fields.

Drake Maye will be in the conversation. I'd still probably lean towards Williams.

Drake Maye from North Carolina is the best QB in the ACC, but I'm not sure if he is eligible.

2024 class. He & Caleb Williams (SC) are the top guys in that class.

Can we just jump to the 2024 draft? Brock Bowers, Caleb Williams, Marvin Harrison Jr (damn Im getting old), Mario Williams (in my opinion the most under used weapon in college football), Drake Maye, James Williams and so on. Looking like such a better draft.

How would you rank the top prospects in this years class?

Tier 1:
Basically the entire Georgia defense...
In all seriousness though I have Ringo and Carter from Georgia's defense here. (I wouldve taken Ringo as the first DB in last year's stacked class)
Bresee
Anderson
Quentin Johnson
Addison

I think there is a drop off after those 6.

Johnston is a 6'4" D-Hop. He's easily the WR1 in this class. My issue with Addison is that he's 175lbs.

Ya I get that, but the combination of speed/wiggle/route running I think will cancel out a lot of those worries. I personally think he runs routes similar to JJ (obviously not on the same level) and I think he will be fine.

And when it comes to Johnston, on paper I 100% agree with you. He is WR1 with no doubt. I just dont know what it is. I was expecting him to make a Calvin Johnson like jump this 3rd year (like Calvin did his 3rd year in college). I dont know, I just think with guys like Kupp and JJ Im starting to view route running at a very high level (probably too high honestly). But ya youre not going to get much argument from me if you got Johnston in his own tier, I totally get that.
