No your not. I loved the pick. I think he is going to be very good and the fact he can sit behind Smith and learn the game is a huge bonus for him. And having Reid as his coach is terrific. That was the perfect situation for a team to take a chance on a QB with a lot of upside.

Drafting a QB wasn't the wrong decision but KC could've waited for next year and draft a WR or LB instead.
Don't know much about Mahomes but he wasn't for cheap.

The more I read the more I think Reid was really enamored with the kid. If that's the case, better to grab him and get him indoctrinated into the program while you tread water this year with Smith and address other needs. Personally, I didn't think much of the QB's this year with the exception of Mahomes and I thought he was a 2nd at top. But as I said - if Reid believes he is going to be that special, then grab him. The Chiefs aren't that far off. Especially in the AFC West.

I don't have a problem with taking the guy, I just think they might have moved up a bit too high to take him.
Honestly, they probably could have just stood pat and still got him at 27 (I think that's where they were drafting)...
Trading away picks for no reason is the worst thing you can do. Every round is important, there are no throwaway picks. And they straight gave up a 1st next year and a 3rd this year for a guy they could have just gotten anyway
Typical Andy Reid draft move. He'll probably kill it in the rest of the draft though, the Eagles always got busts in the 1st rd and studs later on.
That's why I'm especially perplexed at them giving away a 3rd rounder. That's Andy's honey hole man

I've never seen a more wtf moment in the draft tbh
Everyone at my house was like high fiving and stuff as Goodell walked out, there wasn't even a doubt we were gonna take Earl Thomas
Then I hear
"Bran"
followed by just silence
And an especially drunk friend finally broke it like 10 seconds later and says
"WHO THE **** IS THAT!?!?"

I actually really wanted Eric Berry in that draft (Hawks also had the 6th pick). But, we ended up getting the better player in Earl anyway. A slam dunk draft for us.
Earl- 1st Round
Golden Tate- 2nd Round
Chancellor- 5th Round

I'll always remember Pete taking Thomas and Taylor Mays losing his s*** over that USC connection not working out. Hell - even Pete knew better than not to fall for that.
