One of the things Jalen hurts struggles with is beating a good blitz. Wink is one of the most blitz happy DCs in the league so he had about a 30 minute chat with him on what the giants gameplan was specifically for him and why they did those things. It’s basically just “give me what you think I suck at so I can try to focus on improving those areas”

Do you really know who's in the best shape going into the season? The relationship between the Egals QB and Head Coach. :falloff: :falloff:

I was surprised they kept Sirianni. They should've hired Belichick or gone after Macdonald. Ben Johnson probably would've taken the job & been an upgrade.

Mike Macdonald is obviously the best coach in the NFL, but I think it's OK keeping a coach for another year who's just been to a Super Bowl in the 2022 season.

Ben Johnson wanted to stay another season in Detroit.

Also if Moore replaces Sirianni, Mamba42 will become an Eagles fan.

I think its wonderful to see the Egals trying to get any help from the Giants. It pleases me !!

We asked for help and they gave us Saquon Barkley.

He didn't want the Washington job. But I think he would've taken that job.

I don't think so... I believe he really wanted to stay in Detroit. He's been there since 2019; maybe got young kids. The NFL will give any youngish OC with a good offense a head coaching job, so he can still leave later on.

This is trash for trash. Cowboys did this last year when they traded Kelvin Joseph for Noah Igbinoghene.

You guys are going to be really happy with Kellen Moore for most of the season. You guys are going to be frustrated with him though late in the season when he can’t figure out how to run out the clock.

This hasn't been a problem since Chip Kelly. Many different OCs since then and I think it's the analytics department telling them when to run out the clock, just as they do with going for it on 4th down.

It's true. Just because Mike McCarthy lied about following analytics doesn't mean that everyone does.

After watching the Cowboy's preseason I began watching the other games. Looks like Washington has something with this McDaniel's kid.

That means concessions aren’t being sold and all the other ways Jerry makes money during camp aren’t happening. Now there are some fans showing up but it looks like more than 3/4 of the fans didn’t show up this year. People are just tired of the **** from them.

Now I don’t know if this will continue into the season (doubtful) but it’s finally good to see the fans taking a stand (financially).

If you remember correctly, me, you, Otis and some other posters discussed this at great length in the other forums we used to belong to before joining here 9 years ago. I remembering us all saying it would take the fans, not showing up and making some kind of financial to Jerry's end to wake his incompetent ass up. We kinda saw this coming years ago when we were in salary cap hell back then. Its a relief to finally see the new generation fans waking up to what we always Knew Jerry was 30 years ago.

I didn’t think it would actually happen though. I would still love to see it happen during the regular season but at least the fans are showing their frustration.

Do you get the same feeling as me that Jerry is purposely trying to set Dak up for failure with the way he is handling this current mess with C.D. Lamb? It was evident to most of us 5 years ago that Dak was not the type of QB to put the team on his shoulders and carry them. Every time we put it on Dak to carry the load we all witnessed what that was like. he's not that good and that type of QB. As a matter of fact he is the opposite. He needs pieces and talent around him just to survive. So it doesn't make sense to me at this point why Jerry is taking away the most important piece on this offense unless its his way of trying to make Dak look even worse before he is run out of town.

You want Dak gone, so I understand why you would see it that way.

But Jerry is the constant in the Cowboys' almost 30 years of playoff disappointments. So the explanation for this offseason might simply be that he is not good at building a SB winning team.
