It's understandable that you would think Cooks and Ferguson are better, because they are both very good receivers, but neither are as skilled as Lamb, sorry.

This might completely blow your mind, but the nfc East has more teams than just the Dallas cowboys.

He was the third WR taken in that draft. You had guys like Ruggs & Jerry Jeudy who we're taken before him. Which just blows my mind.

It was completely unexpected and we had just traded away a 1st rd pick for Cooper. The front office did the right thing and took him.

He magically dropped to us, and most had him ranked as the top receiver in the draft.

Ceedee lamb was my #1 guy going into that draft. I always thought Henry ruggs was a bust waiting to happen. Jeudy looked ok but lamb to me was the clear #1 guy. Justin Jefferson looked good to me but I wasn’t sure if he was worthy of a top 15 pick or not because up until that point he hadn’t shown that he can consistently play outside

For sure.

If Lamb ran a faster 40 time he would've been long gone.

I’m not gonna lie but that draft pick hurt. I thought the eagles and he were a perfect fit and then the cowboys take him. Definitely a cock block move, not gonna lie.

Slightly off topic but I used to be a 40 time guy but now I think it’s a super overrated measurement that some teams severely over value

Howie also definitely had some rough picks. I mean Jalen Reagor & JJ Arcega-Whiteside we're both huge whiffs.

I thought Jeudy would be decent. Better than what he's become. But Ruggs was a classic Raider pick.

Yes for sure. I think both were a matter of wanting a specific player only to see that player go somewhere else a pick or two prior to their selection. Howie then goes into “trade the pick back” mode and then doesn’t get good enough value so makes a last second “high risk potential high reward lottery pick”. Both of those selections were like that in howies mind, they both had high bust rate but also potential to be very good if everything worked out. Problem is, neither of those guys took football seriously after getting drafted. They got their paycheck and just coasted after that. Horrible picks but I feel like they were made because bad preparation before that. It looks like Howie’s preparation for drafts have been a million times better since 2020 or so

Oh yeah I think everybody thought ruggs was a clear raiders pick.lol they are one of those teams that clearly over values high 40 times
