Yes for sure. I think both were a matter of wanting a specific player only to see that player go somewhere else a pick or two prior to their selection. Howie then goes into “trade the pick back” mode and then doesn’t get good enough value so makes a last second “high risk potential high reward lottery pick”. Both of those selections were like that in howies mind, they both had high bust rate but also potential to be very good if everything worked out. Problem is, neither of those guys took football seriously after getting drafted. They got their paycheck and just coasted after that. Horrible picks but I feel like they were made because bad preparation before that. It looks like Howie’s preparation for drafts have been a million times better since 2020 or so

Sounds like John Schneider. Are they the same person?

Philly 11-6

2-15 is generous !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know. I was thinking about going 1-15-1 because they do play the panthers this year (I predict tie game 3-3 at the end of overtime) but I was like eh, I’ll be charitable and give the cowboys a dub there.

I wouldn’t be surprised if those two are good buddies to be honest..lol howie has been drooling over Russell Wilson since before he was drafted and the Seahawks knew to take him right before the eagles pick.lol

From like 2016-2019 the Seahawks drafts we're mostly bad. Metcalf was really the only pick that panned out. Schneider was the king of trading picks. They've had way more success by just sticking & picking. Obviously the Wilson trade didn't hurt either.

Ironically, the biggest issue most eagle fans had with the jj arcega whiteside selection was that there was a rumor that if metcalf was on the board, the eagles would draft him. The eagles passed on him twice, then took JJAW :/

I suppose. I wish we had some Bengal posters. I love talking about Burrow.

He was the third WR taken in that draft. You had guys like Ruggs & Jerry Jeudy who we're taken before him. Which just blows my mind.

Analysts said Ruggs had so much speed it would make for a killer offense.

Then the Cowboys draft Carson Beck at the top of the 1st and TreVeyon Henderson at the top of the 2nd.

Meh. If this were 5-6 years ago I’d be excited about this Cowboys RB room.
