Saleh is great as a coordinator, he even overachieved with Jets until they gave control to Rodgers.

They should interview the Titans OC instead; after all when the Eagles inevitably lose in the playoffs he was just as successful.

If we don't win the SB, fire Sirianni and promote Moore. Simple as we saw how horrible our offense was last season under Sirianni with a different OC. If we win the SB, bubeye Kellen.

Why fire Sirianni if you don’t win the SB? The SB is not important. The fans are entertained and have bragging rights over teams who do less. That’s all that matters.
Speak for yourself. My team winning the SB is VERY important to me as a fan regardless on how entertaining that game is or not. If it's not my team, then it's entertainment over boring, so I agree with you there. Most boring SB for me was Super Bowl LIII by a mile, even tho it was close. I almost nodded off at the bar during the game and just wanted it to end cause it was so ho hum. Even lopsided games are more entertaining!

Another eagle fan explained to me that winning a SB is not that important.

He's just pulling your balls, and you took the bait. If Eagles don't win this SB, he as good as gone. Our HC is just a tempered figurehead not worth losing an OC over.

I call cap on that story. McCarthy’s contract was up. Of course they knew there was a possibility he wouldn’t return.

Not all of your fellow Eagles fans here feel the same. Many have said winning the SB doesn’t even matter at all as long as they tried hard and got into the playoffs. Just getting there is the same as winning it all according to them.

Dak nor his teammates will respond to BB nor any other top candidates as positively as MM. Maybe they are spoiled by how MM has treated them. This season was due to so many injuries otherwise it would be 2023 all over again with Dak choking when it matters, just like so many others which is NOT MM fault.

Regardless of who is at QB or anything else, MM routinely made poor decisions and there are not many, if any, Dallas fans that make excuses for him. No one is going to miss him.

I mentioned during that last week if the season that I thought they should have brought McCarthy back and that I didn’t think he did enough to get fired. He had three straight 12 win seasons and even in a season where his GM set him up to fail and he lost his starting QB and several get members of the defense he still was within 2 games of making the playoffs. Obviously they would have choked but is that on McCarthy or Dak? I say it was on Dak.

With that said I honestly don’t think McCarthy would have come back even if Jerry offered him a 4-5 year deal instead of a 1 year deal. It seemed like he was tired of Jerry’s ****.

I agree. The defense also collapsed right after he was fired. The guy is a hell of a coach and I like his temperament.

Which leads me to Kellen Moore. He's not HC material. I'm baffled that a team could look at that dude and think he would be a good hire

I’ve been saying that about Kellen Moore for a while now. He doesn’t have the temperament of a HC. He’s also suspect as an OC.

Doesn’t Jerry want to win one before he’s 90?

Reading into this, I think the Jags really want Ben Johnson and are willing to move Baalke aside for him (though not completely get rid of him, because Shad Khan is incompetent), but if he doesn't want it, they'll go for a Baalke/Glenn combo

I've gotten progressively more worried over time that Johnson is a product of the system in Detroit, that most of it's on their GM for stacking the team with talent and that the Detroit model has a motivator/player coach with strong assistants, and Johnson might be one of those guys who just works better as an OC than a HC, but I can't fault the process if they can get him

The logic makes sense, he's the prize of the coaching carousel and we have a good young QB. I just don't get why Baalke is still in the building, let him go be a scout for his friend Vrabel in New England.

No, I never said getting into the playoffs is the same as winning the SB.

I said getting into the playoffs and losing is better than not making the playoffs.

And that winning a conference championship and losing the SB is better than not reaching the conference championship game.

I learned in my short time on earth that it is very difficult to change the ways of old rich people, they think their methods got them to where they are and there is no need to adapt to new eras.

Yes and no. He does want to win but only if it’s on his terms. If not he doesn’t care about winning anymore. If he did care about winning he would change the way he does things. Jerry’s Super Bowl now happens every year when the Forbes list comes out.
