Better QB: Dan Marino or Nick Foles?

Give me the SB winner 10 times out of 10 over the guy that just collects stats.

There you have it.
Mr. B would take Foles over Marino because the Eagles won a ring with backup QB Foles and the Dolphins failed to do so with Marino.
All Marino did was "collect stats" aka "throw TDs"

I also like Foles more than Marino (as an Eagles fan obviously), so I can't hate Mr B for it.
Besides, Foles did play lights out in both the NFCCG and SB. In hindsight I don't think Wentz would win those games.
But if Mr B said he'd take Trent Dilfer over Dan Marino, I'd call him crazy.

Dilfer was the backup to Tony Banks, and the Ravens went 5 weeks straight without a single offensive TD the year they won a ring
Jeff Hostetler (backup to Phil Simms the year they won)
Nick Foles (backup to Wentz the year they won)
Brad Johnson
Mark Rypien
Doug Williams
Jim Plunkett
Phil Simms
^^^ All SB winning QBs not in the HOF (Stafford and Eli might join them IDK)
If we are being honest, HOFers Joe Namath, Jim McMahon, and Theismann were not great QBs at all
But the worst QB to ever win a ring? Broncos Peyton Manning who was arguably the worst starting QB in the entire NFL that year. Lowest passer rating of all the starting QBs.

Strawman as usual.
If we both have the exact same team, only your QB is Dilfer and mine is Marino? Then my team is better than your team.

Until you get to the playoffs. Dilfer has proven he can get it done and win at the absolute highest level, Marino never did that.

And you don't think Marino could with the greatest defense ever constructed?

I know Dan Marino had some very good teams that were good enough to win the SB and he failed every time he got to the playoffs.

Trent Dilfer over 6 career playoff games had 4 TDs and 4 INTs and a passer rating of 66.0
He was barely even asked to pass at all on their Super Bowl run. All he had to do was hand the ball to Jamal Lewis, and let the defense do their thing. Literally almost any QB who ever played in the NFL could have won a ring with that team. Dan Marino would have been next level for them.

So you’re saying that Trent Dilfer had zero impact on that game? What is Dak’s interception to TD ratio in the playoffs? How many pick 6’s has Dak thrown in the playoffs?

I am saying almost any QB could have won a ring with that team. Just handoff to Jamal Lewis, and there you have it. What does Dak have to do with this? We are comparing Dilfer to Marino. Any any case, Dak has 14TDs and 7INTs in the post season, 91.8 passer rating.
