As long as they’re getting pressure on the QB their CB’s will be fine.
Lewis is the Nickle. You're way too positive.
But that's why we have Bjj around here to keep everyone level headed lol.
Keep me out of it. I said I was out on the Cowboys back in February after Jerry brought back McCarthy 4 days after getting blown out by the Packers. Not doing it. Not one ounce of Cowboy kool-aid for me, thank you very much. I don't see the need to try and put a positive spin in this sh.t show of a mess they currently have in Jerry's world. I personally believe things in Dallas will implode by week 8. :wizard:

Honestly I’d even see what they can get for Zack Martin and Demarcus Lawrence. Seriously, horde as many picks as possible.
I was about to say don’t trade zack Martin.lol wtf.. but then I saw he’s turning 34 in a few weeks. For some reason I thought he was like 28 or 29.lol
Yeah I can see a team trading for him for sure. I remember wanting the eagles to trade for Trent Williams a few years back (before Jordan mailata really started to succeed). I was damn near willing to trade a 1st for him but a 2nd for sure. I thought it was crazy he went for a 3rd. Maybe Martin won’t get that kind of return because he’s a guard but a mid pick for sure in my opinion. You guys sometimes find gems in that round, so could be worth it
There’s been speculation that Zack Martin will actually retire this off season. As far as compensation I’m thinking something between a 4th and 6th round pick from a team like the Jets or Steelers. Same for Demarcus Lawrence. The Chiefs, Ravens, or Jets wouldn’t give up a late 3rd or 4th for a good veteran DE?

Then they should do right by him and trade him to a team that can reach a conference championship game.

Looks like Mike McCarthy might have finally lost the team.

Not sure McCarthy ever had the team to be honest. A comment like that sounds like McCarthy has always been a certain way but now that he’s likely on his way out and the team is underperforming, things come out now.
It’s not really too surprising to be honest, mccarthys time in Green Bay is quite similar. Rely on talent to get by, and don’t change things up when there’s injuries and/or things start to get repetitive. This is why Aaron Rodgers started to ignore mccarthys play calls and would call his own plays instead. I think dak is too nice to do that and if cooper rush dreamed of doing that, he’d probably be out of a job pretty fast.

Ok I’m only bringing this up because it’s a real possibility even if it’s not what I personally would do.
Deion Sanders and Shedeur Sanders both to the Cowboys is picking up steam. Personally I’d stay far away from both especially the father. Regardless of what I think it is a possibility, especially if Jerry is able to convince Dak to a trade and if he can find a taker for Dak.

Regardless of what people might think about deion sanders as a coach and Shedeur sanders as a QB, would it be a good idea to have father be the head coach and son as a high draft pick QB?
To me it kinda sounds like it’s more of the same issues jerry jones has always had which is mixing family with business that can possibly lead to bad business decisions. If it works out then great, it’ll end up being one of the best stories in sports, but if it doesn’t work out it could be really really bad.lol

Oh it’s absolutely the same old thing. That’s what BJJ is constantly bitching about. It’s also why it doesn’t matter who they bring in.
I will say this though, regardless of what I think of him Deion has been successful at every level of football (as a player and coach). Also if there is anyone that could keep a young QB’s ego in check it’s his dad.

Seeing as we are stuck with Dak I think we should draft a LT and move Guyton to RT.
I don’t think it’s possible to trade Dak. The immediate cap hit would be suicide. The only way is to ask Dak to rewrite his contract and ok a trade. Doubt that happens.
I really can’t see the cowboys drafting a QB in the first round next year.

Yea logic says there is no way they can move on from Dak. I’m 99.99% positive that Dak will be the Cowboys starting QB next season.
Jerry does love headlines though and he loves when people talk about out the Cowboys (good or bad). If the Cowboys hired Deion Sanders and drafted his son, it would break the internet. It would be the biggest thing in Sports, at the moment.

Re: NFC East
Giants screwed up letting Saquon walk to a division rival. He wouldn’t have the same impact if they kept him but he’s a better player than Daniel Jones.
On Hard Knocks the Giants GM seemed so confident, even cocky that letting Saquon walk was the smart move.
Eagles fans trolling the Giants, thanking them for Saquon.
In a couple of seasons they may end up paying Nabers far more than Saquon makes but unless the Giants get a much better QB, Nabers may never be as impactful as Saquon.
If they weren’t going to keep Saquon, why draft him at #2 in his draft class?

Two obvious answers, they have a different person in charge of football operations and secondly they probably don't think he performed to his draft position.

Re: NFC East
I’m one of those guys that believes running backs aren’t worth first round picks, at least not top 20 or so and definitely not top 10.
That being said, saquon on the eagles has been a game changer. This is the best OL he’s ever played behind and there’s still plenty of injuries to that OL which is the scary part. The eagles OL has made good running backs look great, it’s not surprising that they are making a top 3 RB look this good.

By the way, I’m glad lane Johnson and Jordan mailata cornered nick sirianni in his office and forced him to make the offense more run oriented because the offense is far more smoother now. It’s sad that’s what it had to take to get sirianni to change things up, you’d think it’s common sense but maybe not.. Either way, they’ve looked better for sure after that happened.

Every RB going forward should thank Philly and Baltimore. They may have saved the RB position. Because they invested “heavily” (heavy for RB standards) in a RB and seem to have succeeded I think you will see more teams invest more into the RB position.

Re: NFC East
I don't know, Saquon is still #431 in cap hit this year so teams still aren't willing to pay RBs except maybe one or two.
But a RB who can make explosive plays in both pass and run is as impactful as some of the best WRs in the game.
However, there may only be a handful of them in the league.
Back in the day, teams used to split out fast RBs and they easily beat LBs for huge gains. Players like Faulk but also Garrison Hearst had a huge season where he made several plays over 50-60 yards in the passing game. There are others too.
You wonder though, most kids playing football now, probably trying to learn to run routes rather than trying to become RBs, which involves adding more bulk than WRs.

Cowboys fans, here’s a hint at the next coach of the team.
