The offense was always going to be a mess when you're relying on a rookie QB to not play like a rookie QB. Got even worse with Lane's suspension and all the injuries. We have no depth at all. The defence is just a joke. They're our most talented unit and haven't done anything for a big stretch of the season.

Man - I've seen the same thing. A lot of quit in some of these guys. Howie and Doug have some additional house cleaning to do. You can't have that crap on your team.

We were holding a long snapper tryout on the sideline. Was pretty a pretty fun game. Depth issues, mistakes, and DeSean cost us again.

Welp...

First off, any and all credit must go to the Giants. Steve Spagnuolo is one hell of a Defensive Coordinator and he had that defense ready to go last night. As Collinsworth said more than once - they were spectacular. He clearly had a plan to focus on slowing down Zeke, keep Dak in the pocket and make Dak beat the Giants defense from there. He couldn't.

It was obvious the coverages and blitz packages had Dak confused all night. One thing I've noticed with Dak when he struggles. His footwork goes to crap. And when it does, his passes are all over the place. Saw it in the first half against the Steelers, saw it again against the Ravens and I've seen it against both the Vikings and Giants. In most cases, he would figure out what was going on, settle down and play well in the 4th quarter. Not last night. Rarely did he leave the pocket and his footwork was all over the map. He was clearly uncomfortable. I've heard plenty of discussions that the play calling could have improved things (examples - more play action on 1st down and more "pound the rock" with Zeke). I don't know. While Zeke had 100 yards I never got the feeling the running game was doing a lot to control the game. The QB just wasn't good last night. He played like a rookie.

So - on to the elephant sitting in the corner of the room wearing a Romo jersey. Is it time to make the switch? Maybe. Garrett was grilled about it after the game (I got a chuckle out of one tweet where Garrett responded by saying "01110111 01100101 00100000 01101100 01101111 01110011 01110100.") I think it depends on how Dak rebounds from last night. The NFL is hard. And for a rookie, I can't imagine how hard. But he's clearly not where he was a month ago. And if he looks as lost next Sunday night as he did last night, I wouldn't hesitate to put Romo in. I don't know that the Cowboys would have won last night with Romo - the Giants were just that damn good on defense. But going forward, it has to be a part of the plan. And I don't want to hear any "Dak looking over his shoulder" ****. I don't sense him being that mentally fragile. If he is, we all misjudged him.

Bottom line - the Cowboys are just fine. Everything we as fans want (Home field and the #1 seed) is right there in front of us. But if we have to face the Giants in the playoffs...

Then again - I don't see anyone wanting to face that defense in the playoffs. Not when they play that good.

Time to replace Dak? Absolutely not. He's had two rough games against two very good defenses. Well 3 if you include the Ravens game, but again against a very good defense.

I agree that the Giants played a hell of a game. They need to be given credit for that. They swept the regular season so it will be interesting if these two teams meet again in the playoffs. I believe it was in 2007 when the Cowboys swept the regular season against the Giants but then lost to the Giants in the playoffs. It's very difficult to. Eat a team 3 times.

Granted Prescott probably played his worse game of the year. Hell, even the Legendary Staubach and Aikman had bad games from time to time. I thought Spagnuola came up with an outstanding scheme that had Prescott off balance most of the night. Dez also looked like a shell of himself and once again, Garrett makes lousy half time adjustments and imho, got out coached. Not sure as of yet if Jerry running his mouth all week about playing time for Romo had anything to do with the equation. Thinking it may have been a distraction approaching the game.

Eli could've had 6 turnovers yesterday. Giants aren't to be feared because of him. Think it was Church who dropped the pick at the start of the 2nd half. That was inexcusable.

Also thought it was stupid how Dallas went away from Zeke. Relied on Dak too much.

Well how bout them Cowboys!!! Nah in all seriousness great win for my Giants defensively. Offensively more work if we want to not just make the Playoffs, but to succeed and win. Dallas only lost by a field goal the world isn't over.

If Spags can keep them playing like that... they can pretty much overcome Eli.

Although he has been bad it isn't just Eli. We've had sooo many dropped passes this year, especially from Odell. No running game to speak of in a run heavy offense. I don't know how Bob McAdoo got his OC job. Our defense is keeping us in it, but they're not perfect either. We just need to consolidate these last regular season wins and carry some momentum and poise into the playoffs.

Now that Jerry is running his mouth for the second straight week and won't stop talking about romo, I might as well just announce it right now and take my medicine. Cowboys won't make the super bowl.

Watch, now that Jerry is out of his cage I can see us losing 2 of the next 3 games. The Man just can't leave alone a good thing.

Feels good to have the winning feeling again. Also good to see Manning throw wobblers to your defenders over and over again.

Congrats on the division win, Cowboys!
