Now (God forbid) I do think things would get interesting if saquon were to get injured. They would have to change the offense around and Jalen would be asked to do more. This is when I think we would really know what he is and isn’t capable of. Like I said, the chiefs took away saquon in the Super Bowl and Jalen stepped up but can he do it again for a whole year? We will see.

My guess is they wanna lower saquon’s snap count to put less miles on his legs so he stays elite for most if not all of his contract. He’s better than an average backup but not exactly somebody you wanna rely on long term if Barkley gets injured

I don’t disagree with that. The extension wasn’t needed, but howie just wanted to reward him for a great year. I wouldn’t be surprised if the back end of the deal looks like an overpay but at least there’s a Super Bowl at the beginning.

I have four kids, I want them to be able to walk into the locker room and me not have to go, ‘just skip over that locker.’ That doesn’t mean we have perfect guys. There are different backgrounds, some guys pop off more than others. Our head coach does that sometimes, but he’s my guy and I love him. But I think for us, having good people, having people that you can rally around, on our two championship teams they had good people. You can’t tell me we can’t win with good people. We can’t be at the top of the mountain with good people? It’s the same off the field.
