https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals/bengals-news-trey-hendrickson-permission-seek-trade

Bengals have gave NFL sacks leader Trey Hendrickson permission to seek a trade.

I assume the Bengals asking price will be too high for return assets but we'll see.

It’s funny how a guy as good as hargrave can leave the eagles but then the eagles draft a rookie and get better at that same position.lol

Their cap situation isn't that great going forward. Paying Purdy is the next domino that will make things really difficult.

Yep and that’s what I mean, I think what made things easier on them so far was purdy being so affordable but now they are gonna have to get rid of some better player to fit his contract on the books

Hargrave wasn't that great for them. Not a good signing. But you're right. Purdy will get paid & at the same time a lot of their star players will start to get old (Trent Williams, CMC, Kittle, etc.). It's why their window is closing.

Well, Howie Roseman obviously is very good at his job. Wasn't the Carter pick acquired via trade? Shrewd move.

I think Hargrave was good in 2023 but I think he took a big step back in 2024. Just a bad sign for a 32 year old DT to get worse each season after 30. I don’t blame them from getting out when they can but I don’t think he can add something to a team in 2025, just not as one of the main guys.

Yes. It was part of several trades. Originally the Carson wentz trade but howie used a lot of those picks to trade back and acquire other picks. In 2022 the eagles had three 1st round picks and one of those picks the eagles traded with the saints for a future 1st and that pick was used to select Carter.

I’ve learned with howie to trust the process. Sometimes things might not always make sense at first but eventually a lot of times they end up being “the correct move”.

He's done a great job.

Any chance he makes a move for Metcalf? Team him up with his best friend from college.

I’d be surprised. Howie checks in on a lot of things going on around the league but I’d be surprised if talks progressed very far. It’s funny because he doesn’t usually pay WRs big money but he’s currently paying AJ and Devonta big money. I guess that’s because he traded for AJ with one of those 1sts in 2022 and then extended devonta because he’s home grown. I can’t see him paying all 3, I guess maybe if one of AJ or devonta is involved the trade but even then it doesn’t seem like something howie would do.

If the eagles do make a trade, I’m gonna guess it would be for defense. Right now there’s questions about edge rusher and CB2 after Darius slay was released. There’s rumors howie might pursue Myles Garrett but that would surprise me considering the price. If the eagles do make a trade my guess is I think the eagles pursue jaire Alexander more than Myles Garrett. But even then it, jaire is injury prone so maybe not.

Damn I feel like that’s a good trade for the Texans. His problem is he can’t stay on the field but when he is he’s a good player

The Texans do have him on the books for 1 year $16.5mill. That’s a lot if he can’t stay on the field so that’s where the risk is.

Bosa played 9 years, but only has 72 sacks and it feels like he's already finished. Didn't make a single all-pro team either.

He was a monster in college, but didn't live up to expectations.

That’s an excellent choice on your part.
They both have 7 first team all pros and 2 second team all pros.
It’s unreal that Martin has more all pros than career holding calls. He also has zero career holding calls on passing plays. Also more all pros than false starts.
It’s just crazy.

Yeah he must’ve spent millions paying off refs over the years. Very smart.

We'll see about that but Hargrave has zero impact on that championship window lol, graded 78th DT and he is 32. You can find a younger player his caliber with half the salary.
