For the purposes of this thread will anyone challenge the Chefs in the AFC West this season??

Harbaugh will make the Chargers competitive. I think KC wins the division this year likely. But it won't be a cakewalk for them anymore. Harbaugh knows how to build winners. He brought his staff with him. Jesse Minter (DC) is very good. The Chargers will be a tough out.

Yeah, I think the Chargers will contend for a wild card spot but they just don't have the talent yet to be a serious threat for the division yet.

I believe he will build his team by trying to control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball concentrating on defense and a powerful run game. Herbert might not be a top fantasy QB for a couple years.

I don’t think the Chargers will be competitive right away, but I do think he can turn it around by the 2nd year. With the Chiefs inevitable decline (Kelce turning 35 will be make things hard going forward), the Chargers should be able to contend with the Chiefs with a dominant defense and a prime Herbert.

That's expected now that Hill is old now but doubtful during his prime. That applies to anyone who is past their prime years.

Nix is a better version of Andy Dalton. Which isn't a knock. Dalton was a solid starter for a number of years.
