Welp one good game for Mahomes and it's like...

Jackson still defacto #1 overall until proven otherwise though.

Sam Darnold shoulf be getting cred, and also Drake Maye who I scoffed at earlier in this thread when OP mentioned him at #10. I am eating crow on that one. Not Bryce Young though.

Also, can't believe I am saying this, but Daniel Jones is leading the highest scoring offense in the NFL right now. I guess the Colts were a perfect fit for him. I don't think he is top-10 or anything, but I do think maybe we can start to think of him as "good" or "decent" which is a big leap from what he was.

Well what's happening is, Indy has given Daniel Jones a frame work that he had in New York when he made the playoffs and won a playoff game. SAQUON BARKLEY got Jones his major contract. Barkley gone? Gone also was Daniel Jones effectiveness.
In other words, Jonathan Taylor is More than worthy RB to carry the Load and be that Barkley type back. Result? Daniel Jones is 5-1

Yeah Bryce doesn't belong anywhere near the top 10. I thought he would take a leap but that hasn't happened. His size is prohibitive from him being anything more than a game manager. Curious what the Panthers do with him after this season assuming they miss the PO's. You think they walk from him or low ball him?

Really hard to say, they are 3-3 and I think that play's into Bryce's future a ton. I mean if they are winning games then...

Allen (MVP)
Mahomes
Lamar
Daniels
Burrow
Stafford
Goff
Dak
Hurts
Mayfield

Take Hurts out of there and you might have a perfect list. Hurts sucks. Even his own team doesn't want him throwing the ball. :falloff:

Yeah, you're right. Remove Hurts & replace him with Darnold.

We're good to go! :D

Perfect !!!!! Except in a few more weeks Showtime will be ahead of Allen in the MVP vote.

Mahomes is already the pretty big favorite right now. Had a 4 TD game against the Ravens, 4 TDs against the lions, 3 TDs against Vegas last week, and with all of his weapons back that trend will likely continue. Baker has cooled off a lot after his hot start. Stafford could be a dark horse.

Draft kings has Hurts at 25 to 1 to win MVP.
He’s currently number 10.

Can't believe I am typing this, but Daniel Jones deserves to be MVP talks.

I mean I doubt he actually wins it. But he is leading the best offense in the NFL, and the only team with 7 wins. His numbers are great, lots of passing yardage, high QB rating, only 3 INTs.

What a difference a change of scernery can make.

For me it goes back to his Giants days. Who actually got him his big contract? And who lead that team to the playoffs. Giants say Daniel Jones and paid him. Some say it was all Saquon Barkley. Similar here with the Colts. Who is the true MVP of that team, the QB play of Jones? Or is it Jomathan Taylor?

Well a case could be made that Jonathan Taylor is the real MVP here and Daniel Jones is just along for the ride. :gossip:

I dont think his play level in Giants was anywhere close to this. IIRC he largely got by his mobility and rushing ability with Giants.

With Colts he is playing like an actual high level pocket passer. His highest yards per attempt before this year was 6.8, this year it is 8.5. His QB Rating and QBR this year is 17 points higher than his previous best season.

Jonathan Taylor is the best offensive player in the league so he helps but Daniel Jones has made real strides this year. Shane Steichen deserves lot of credit too.

Jones is #4 overall in passing yardage with 13 passing TDs. It isn't like he is just handing it off to Taylor and not doing anything. Granted, Taylor is obviously a huge part of why that offense is #1 overall.
