Ya his running is translating to the NFL much better than I originally thought. I thought he would be a solid mobile QB, like most young QBs.

But his legs are a legit weapon out there. He’s shifty, fast, and he just looks much bigger than the 6’2 he’s listed at

He looks like he's oozing with self confidence too. Not a bad thing. I mean it's his first time starting and and you can see it. Though I need to see him pass more. I almost picked him up and dropped McCarthy or Penix in another league, but didn't get to it in time when I remembered. Thinking I'd rather have him in case he looks good than try and get him on waivers, and thought he might have it easier with Nabers, but without Nabers things will be a lot tougher.

Torn ACL. Done for the year

Brutal, but assumed it the minute he grabbed his knee no the way down

Yup. Everyone here has watched enough sports by now that we can all pretty much spot someone tearing up their knee or Achilles bursting.

A non contact knee injury, bad enough where he was reaching to grab his knee mid air after jumping. Is pretty much a tell tell sign, something in that knee popped.

Chargers missing their top 3 OL and Najee Harris. Makes it tougher for Herbert and Hampton. Though Hampton just had a nice run...hard to tackle.

If Flacco doesn't throw that ball to a position where there wasn't a single Brown within a 30 feet radius you're looking at a dead even game at 10 and another possible Green Bay situation. Should have beaten the Bengals, beat the Packers, are going toe to toe with the Lions.

Ya they seem to be very very conservative with the passing game so far. But the few throws he’s made, he’s shown some easy pop. Accuracy will need some work.

But that’s the kind of QB I think fanbases can get behind watch him develop. Because the high level physical tools are very easy to see. And like you said, no one is ever going to question his confidence haha

Herbert is used to playing with a crappy OL. At least he has Keenan Allen back. In addition to Ladd...both of whom can do quick routes and get open.

I can’t tell if Buffalo has serious issues, but a lot of it is masked with how easily the offense can score.

Or if they’re kind of just in the, semi coast in the regular season and flip the switch when needed to pull away in games. And just kind of waiting to go all out for the playoffs.

Nabers is finally playing with a real QB and he tears his acl? That’s ridiculous

That plus, Harbaugh and Roman don’t be to be told twice to lean into a more quick passing game and running the ball.

That’s both of their preferred way for the offense. It seemed like to start the year they were going to a more aggressive passing offense because of how good Herbert is looking and those passing weapons.

But ya, if there is a team that can handle bad O line play. It’s the Chargers

The thing I really like about Minter and his defense. It’s not a ton of bells and whistles like a Flores defense.

It’s just so well executed all the time and he seems to know exactly the right times to call a blitz.

There really isn’t anything for an offense to “figure out”. You’re just going to have to execute your offensive gameplan better than they execute their defensive gameplan. And it seems like most teams just can’t do it for a full 60 minutes

Why can't we have an average QB and half decent kicker?
