Where you lose in the playoffs doesn’t matter only the fact that you lost. A failed run is a failed run. Unless your trophy says Lombardi at the bottom of it, it doesn’t matter.

Niners lost in the Super Bowl, Cowboys havent made it to the conference title game in 30 years. You said Niners lose a round after Cowboys, which is factually wrong. No need to move the goal posts.

Did the Niners get a Lombardi Trophy?

The trophy case is certainly dusty after all these years. But its a good thing that both Jerry & management in Santa Clara have hired a good custodian staff to keep things looking upscale & recent. Guys, it's just a joke.

I'm actually rooting for the Cowboys to win one before Jerry goes. It would be good for the league. I'm also worried about my guy Bjj & his long-term mental health if things don't improve for Dallas.

Skip Bayless just released a 45-minute video complaining that the source of his disappointment is that the Cowboys used to dominate the league and now no longer do, so I wonder if it's the same for all older Cowboys fans and that's why they post embarrassing threads like this, as opposed to Lions or Jags fans for example, and why their natural instinct is to switch allegiance to the Chiefs.

You said Niners lost following round Cowboys lost, them goal posts spinning mighty fast.

That's their coping mechanism, it goes from "well 30 other teams also lost" to "we are also fan of the team that won the last super bowl". In fact Jerry might be too good for them.

He was predicting next year and giving an example.
Not stating that it happened like that every year. lol
Honestly it’s kind of silly for a fan of a team with a 30 year drought to troll another fan of a 29 year drought because you lose in style. lol

I also said a failed playoff run is a failed playoff run. Unless you win the SB your playoff run was a failure. You of all people should know that considering how long your SB winning drought has been.

Both teams have failed in the last 30 years to achieve the only goal but us shaking our heads at him elevating his team is us coping. lol

Probably because most fans, if they had to choose, would prefer if their team made 3 SBs in 30 years rather than 0 conference championship games in 30 years.

I'm a Dallas Mavericks fan as well, and we sure as hell weren't celebrating our Finals loss to the Celtics. And no one will even remember we were even there in 5 years.

It's an argument about who the better loser is. But to be fair, with 31 out of 32 teams being a loser every year, we aren't left with much.

I'd rather lose in the SB than in the wildcard round.

Like did any of you play sports? Of course you want to advance as far as possible. I don't understand how this is even a debate.

True but it’s pretty dumb to rag on the Cowboys or their fans when your team is in a longer SB drought.

I dont know why Cowboys fans even watch their team, they have zero chance at winning the super bowl which makes their games meanningless. For years they've been wasting their time and effort on a team that wont win the super bowl, total contradiction with their braindead mantra.

I can’t think of anything more painful in sports than losing in the final. Give me a hard pass on that.

Slightly off topic
Option A
Nine 0 and 17 seasons followed by a SB win
Option B
Ten seasons making the SB and losing them all.
Give me option A all day.

The era I grew up in (child of the 80’s) there were winners and there are losers when it comes to sports. If you lost you tried harder the next time until you actually did win. You didn’t celebrate until you won.

Now days though I guess winning doesn’t matter. You’re going to celebrate either way. Everyone gets called great. The Pussification of America persists I guess.

I played sports and in my day there were winners and losers. Everyone wasn’t celebrated like they won the Championship when in fact they lost. I mean why even keep score? Just play the game for 3 hours with no score and everyone can go home happy.
