So far so good. Don't be surprised if the Niners upset Carolina. The OL looked dominant. The defense looked pretty good too although it was against maybe the worst offense in existence. They will be much more severely tested against Carolina. Still, many promising signs. Ward continues to look like a pro bowl corner. Bowman looks like he's back 100%. The DL was playing effectively. Reid looks like a man on a hunt for a big contract. 150:1 odds I got on the Niners before the season started for the Bowl. Same odds I got in 2011 when I saw similar things in the team. They make the playoffs and that ticket becomes valuable and with how the West is unfolding - anything is possible.

I don't expect the Niners to win traveling on the short week - but if it happens - it will be a very loud pronouncement to the rest of the league.

That's why you gotta love the NFL as far as the product on the field goes anyway.

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

I like the strategy, keep your hopes down low and you can't be too disappointed.

In all reality though, I think that Seattle absolutely takes it out on St. Lou---er---Los Angeles next week. They can't be happy about what happened last year, and I think that the rams are significantly worse.

Is Russ going to for sure miss the game?

No, Russ will play. The problem is the Rams always give us a good game. We couldn't beat them last year with Case Keenam . Their D-line is bad news for us. Everything says it should be another tough game. Russ is banged up. They should be fired up due to It being their home opener. Fisher always does a good job game planning for us. Not a good feeling. The Rams are our kryptonite.

That's because Hyde went down after week one. Then the injury bug took over in all areas. I expect the 40ers to play a great game and they just might pull it out. What I really like about the 49ers is how they dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. When you do that, you win most of your games. The old Tom Landry and John madden gospel, always be strong in the trenches so you can dictate the tempo your team needs to succeed.

They should be in a lot of close games this year. If they had a good QB, they'd be dangerous.

last year niners had undisputable worst coach in the league. even with an average coach they would've won 7 games. still 8-8 is best case scenario, not impressed with gabbert's arm.
